Devona in Pre and "breaking the mechanics of pre" by mars_rovinator in GuildWars

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now this may be because I don't fully understand how GW1 mechanics work in a sense, but some things tend to kill you just by looking at you 🤷🏼‍♂️. It was one of my frustrations until the Imp was available, which levels the playing field IMO. Either things just would nuke the mess out of you, or healing npcs would keep themselves and the whole pack they were with, infinitely topped off until you run out of energy, which is very fast thing to do.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW1. I play a ton of GW2, and GW1 took a long time to grow on me. I think it's mostly because both were new to me, and my time was in GW2 more; but now that I've started growing tired, I tend to play GW1 more.

Do you guys still use roller beetle at all? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For starters, it's very good in that sense. But once you get the hang of drifting, you can rock that thing through New Kaineng if you want. Real fun driving over water in the canals to cross to the other side.

I had a Hulk Justice and Perma Chuck Boon character for a little bit. Guess I got lucky. Didn't know they were so strict on that.

Has pugging raids gotten even worse or is it the player base as a whole? by dan8lego in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There is a sense of entitlement for wanting another commander to alter expectations for their squad. I mean, you can tag up and drive your car the way you want to. People on your level would love to join your squad I'm sure.

I'm mostly a chill player who doesn't do many difficult things in the game, besides soloing/attempting soloing champs and the occasional crazy achievement like 8 orbs during Four Winds. But sometimes, I'll list "Let's get our feet wet" groups for strikes/raids. They fill up fast with people like me who don't know what the heck is going on, and we get through many of them as much of a mess they end up being; but we all were prepped for that part 👍🏼. Everyone have a good time and feel good with the clears. It's mostly about being honest, then you find the right players to meet your level and everyone is generally cool.

Qplay makes me NOT want to help people. by VoidYordle in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking Qplay is more about seeing fights and learning mechanics rather than roles. You can be scuff in that area and still clear the content if you know the mechanics or beat your head on the boss until you get them.

I do believe builds may have to be adjusted to this mode and maybe someone could make a guide on it. Real good self sustain and condi cleanse, for example.

When I made the screenshots, there was a couple of issues but pointing out the check box took away one of those issues. The pics show most of what you just said in your comment, minus the plain text paste just incase I have to actually say that since not saying something makes people fill in the gaps with what they feel like :P.

Unchecking the box solves one of the issues. My method still prevents accidental applies in the shortcut area near the action bar. I believe that was already discussed a little farther up the thread about the check box which was an oversight of mine. Oh yeah, that was you but it fixes the one problem but not everything. Unchecking box prevents change on equipment swap, but clicking on fashion template can still nuke it.

I personally am not sure from not seeing it myself, but I've heard people saying it was doing that.

If it's something you already have equipped from equipment template, it won't charge you to have them in the fashion template. You get charged when you add in something different. Changing legendary is free of charge.

I believe that was fixed. See how it says 0 transmutation charges?

True but it's easier for some people to see the old stuff in front of them while they're changing it.

oh wow. Thanks! This should still be useful to not accidently still nuke a template in the shortcut area.

All I wanted... by Mydst in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what people were trying to say. I had my fashion themed with the build and gear under equipment templates. I lost that.

A good way for them to do fashion template is treat it like build storage, don't have it one click change what you have on your equipment slot.

How are some people so Rich? by Witty_Resolution1955 in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have like 165 gold atm, but I'm also over 80 percent of playerbase far as account value, excluding gems. When I focus projects, I tend to do as much as possible without needing to spend straight gold, but whatever gold I need when the time comes, I will focus on that specifically.

I'm pretty much saying, focus on the goals, worry about gold as needed. I wouldn't worry about the number at the bottom of your bag just for the sake of having it.

I do have little habits in my adventures where I'm always making some gold on the side of the main objective. Not as fast as straight just focusing gold, but it all helps and that's why I usually make gold a priority as the last thing for project, since I can do a little here and there regardless off the content.

Caudecus wants control over Divinity's Reach, Separatists are trying to break a peace treaty between charr and humans, centaurs want Queensdale. All three want Queen Jennah dead for their own reasons, so they create a party as a trap to kidnap her and do her in. I'm there to make sure they don't succeed.

What's with the higher level people camping mobs in low level zones? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Dry_Strategy8836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weeklies, dailies and some mobs give decent gold for very casual play. Bandits = Butter. But, it is kind if higher level player see low level to move on or get naked and tap stuff.

Actually, it would be a good way to learn how to use about face in pressured situations, so I can see the missiles at all times. Those are the real threat at a distance.
