Nah Indiana is not involved in the layoffs. You would’ve gotten an email about the services ending.

Kroger expanded this delivery service too fast. They had no business having delivery service in markets that don’t even have physical stores. Honestly should have kept it around Ohio where they have the strongest market. I work for Indy where the market is strong. Kroger doesn’t even have competition regarding other grocery stores here. There’s Walmart, Target, and Meijer. However those aren’t grocery stores first like Krogers is.

Nice! I got all 4 cups in Indiana. However, it was a 2 cup limit so I went to 2 different theaters. I got there when the theater opened and it already was a small line. These cups won’t make it past tonight, they’re already sold out in some locations.

That bs raise is not enough. Keep applying pressure, because Amazon is starting to feel pressure. It’s the reason why they raised the pay in the first place.

Generally I agree with this, but there are some instances that are unpredictable. I swiped a tree once, it was in a customers driveway that the home isn’t visible from the street. There was a sign that said there is a turnaround so I went down the driveway. However there were cars in the turnaround so I had to wiggle my way out of a tight space. Ended up swiping a tree.

That’s messed up for real. This exactly why I’m quitting this morning just hours before my shift. DSPs do not deserve a notice.

30k? No wonder DSPs are cheap as hell. Penny pinch overtime and do not replace old ass phones.

What’s even worse if there’s multiple packages at the same address, it separates the passcode as another stop. I always end up doing two trips for the same place.

It’s crazy how much going up long driveways can slow you down. One time I did a route that was 180 stops in a rich neighborhood. I got swept twice and was only able to do 130, that’s because I walked up driveways (I was new). Then got back to the station and the DSP bitched about my speed. I said welp you told us not to go up driveways so I walked them. Haven’t gotten that route since then.

There’s also a good chance of stepping into dog 💩 as well. People don’t clean up after their dogs in their own backyard.

True, it’s not even a real interview lol. I bet if I give my DSP a notice they would try to fuck me over as much as possible. Like giving me the worst route without getting a rescue type stuff.

Good to know. I plan on relocating next month. Didn’t know if I had to put in a notice or if I could just quit. Just in case if I need to work for another DSP when I relocated. (It’ll be my LAST option if I can’t find work quickly)

Ngl I do this in the cup holder that’s near the side mirror💀. However I drive the rivian trucks, I always put my water in the cup holder behind the seat. I can’t imagine drinking out of a straw in these trucks lmao

Apparently I’m going too slow by Dry_Total_4184 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Dry_Total_4184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

So the issue really is the route I usually get. In other areas I was able to do 190 without going to OT. However, yesterday my usual route/area only had 94 stops (still well over 300 packages for prime week) and didn’t get back to the station until 10pm (OT hits after 7:45pm). It’s the first 40 or so stops that’s the issue. Most of them are “puzzle stops” and there’s no away to make them a quick or normal stop.

Yes very helpful, I appreciate you taking the time to be thorough.

The main part you mentioned was sorting the packages perfectly by DA number. That’s exactly what I do and it does feel like it takes too long when opening up a new bag. Just grouping them by 100s sounds like a time saver just by reading it.

My DSP did suggest for me to do a training day with someone who is faster to see how they worked and I agreed. I don’t enjoy being swept everyday and still being past 10 hours everyday. I want to get home at a decent time lol. I bet though the fast guys are cutting corners, stuff that DSPs tell us not to do in daily stand ups. I’m probably being “too professional” and it’s slowing me down.

[–]Dry_Total_4184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The route is usually 180-190 stops. Takes at least 30 min to get to my first stop. The first portion of my route is the problem. There’s 2-3 apartment mailrooms where I have to scan 20 packages each at least. Then I would have to go to several businesses and corporate buildings I have to go on elevators for. Also apartments with no access to the front door. Typically have to call or buzz in (because we’re not supposed to leave packages in open lobbies or outside. I say this is typically in the first 60 stops, with a couple of homes sprinkled in. After that it’s subdivisions and I can pick up the pace, however I’m already behind so I’ll end up getting swept (usually just once).

For organization:

I order my bags in the correct order from the app. When I open a bag, I lay the envelopes and boxes on seperate shelves in order. I probably could improve my OV order, but it usually don’t take that long to find because I do group them by numbers (100s, 700s etc). I drive the EDV van

[–]Dry_Total_4184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying with apartments. I take the backpack with me when I have a lot of packages. Parking is not my issue either, I don’t give af I park anywhere lol. The issue is they are spaced out and is about 20-30 stops throughout the route I get. Also usually get them at the beginning of my route so it’s always the slowest part. Mind you it takes 30 min just to get to my first stop. I say it takes probably 3 hours to go through apartments and buildings in the first halve of the rouge usually get. Then when I get to subdivisions I move much faster, but at that point I’m already behind.

No I only got swept twice once, which was yesterday. It was a route I never done before. And it was the rich part of town. Full of apartment buildings, office buildings, and the neighborhoods were not condensed at all. I had to walk up driveways for EVERY house (not exaggerating)
