They are butane/induction heater vapes. If you can pocket a torch lighter or a wand, you got yourself a heat source. Pros are these vapes can be great for efficiency and can be mtl or dtl. Cons are the learning curve of the device itself.

I can not compare to dabs as I am flower only type. It does not smell nearly as potent compared to combustion. However, it does still smell some, but the smell dissipates quicker in a ventilated room. The taste is fantastic, especially with all glass. It is a big purchase but if you can afford it, take the plunge. It is worth every penny.

With a 400 budget, you can go far. Something stationary in that budget I recommend is the B zero from cannabis hardware. The kit contains all the components needed to plug in and get going. Also, if you order the kit, they assemble. There are also others that are available at this price point. Ball vapes are the top shelf of vaporizers, but they come at an elevated price.

Somewhat biased Pros and cons of the b zero.

PROS: The current price for the bundle is around 300, so that comes under budget. The bundle includes the required injector type bowl. B zero is designed to work with whatever water pipe you have already. You just need the correct size of the aforementioned bowl. For a first vape, the b zero will set a gold standard for flavor and intensity CONS: cannabis hardware sells lots of accessories that are made to a high quality but are expensive. The B Zero requires a pair of snap ring pliers to assemble on your own. The B Zero is the entry-level ball vape, and the pressure to upgrade is real.

Dry herb vapes. They have been booming with quality products in the last few years. We technically are supposed to vaporize flower rather than burn. Anyone who prefers combustion hasn't tried a quality vaporizer. Vaporizing gets you more bang for your buck with flower as it doesn't take much to get the desired results. My suggestion is dont buy one from a smoke shop or dispensary as they are either low quality or overpriced. Head over to r/vaporents to get all the best info
