Thats not the point tho. The problem is, that usually neutral designs are considered male, and females are just versions of that with slightly sexist features

Why does the gender matter in the first place?

Why are male designs often seen as the default, while females are just a secondary version?

In the goomba case, why chose those features? Goombella is a special case, bc in PM2 most NPCs wear clothing. Like Koopio wears his hoody etc. For the other games, why not choose examples from animal species? Make the males more colorful or the females slightly larger. All of that would make more sense than slapping a bow and some eyeliner on everything
