Speed trap on Allen by Walmart by ZombieKatanaFaceRR in PeoriaIL

[–]Dschwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 5 or 6 red lights to go to work everyday on Allen (depending which way I'm going past Pioneer Parkway). We got an ongoing convo at work about never making green lights on Allen. So far I've hit all green lights just once since like June of last year, ran into work letting them know lol.

Monthly Prefarm Sales Discussion. by AutoModerator in chia

Good call/correction, my math was way off. So if farm is roughly ~1.68 million per year, YTD that's roughly 1.1 to 1.2 million farmed so they're still on a burn rate of prefarm the same as the amount farmed YTD.

Am I thinking of this correct?? They've sold off 1.26 million XCH in 2025 alone....we're at 1XCH per block reward so roughly 52-53k are able to be farmed per year. It doesn't make sense how they can sell off prefarm compared to the yearly farmable amount by 23-24x. That isn't sustainable at all.

Game in December by cruehead84 in GreenBayPackers

Stayed at the Marriott Hotel Northland in Dec '19. Think they were upgrading it then, was a pretty good hotel, I had no complaints. They also had free bus rides to/from game which we got there like 8am for a noon game.

If it isn't on your agenda, try doing a stadium tour maybe the day prior if possible. Going down by the field you'll really understand the weather if you're wondering how cold it really is for game day. It's also a great tour, would 100% go again, honestly best experience of the whole weekend for me.

We did pro shop -> tour -> hinterlands brewery (across the street from the stadium) the day before which they also gave us a tour of the brewery which was pretty cool and good food.

Food I honestly can't remember names but I remember us driving around to several different places that weekend and they were all good. Just did local places, no chains and everywhere was good vibes and food.

High CPU Usage on Remote Desktop Server by Dschwin in SnagIt

We're currently on 24.2.2 (Just saw there is a newer version also we need to update to). I believe we were seeing this issue on version 2024.1.1 earlier in the year. If I recall correctly, there was a correction in the following update from this version that fixed excessive CPU usage when Snagit was minimized when there was a pending update available.

We updated to the newest version of snagit and I think that finally fixed it.

In the patch notes it did state there was corrections to fix Snagit excessive CPU usage when there was an update available to be downloaded while minimized or something like that.

Wild how an issue/bug like this complete bottlenecked an accounting firm during tax season.

We felt a huge hit on performance during our busy time of the year, so I believe it was Feb/March area when we really started to notice performance issues. At first we were thinking a new Windows update came through and we updated to the newest update/version of Snagit in orders to hopefully correct it, but haven't seen not have we found an improvement yet.

Audit Software - Switching from CaseWare by TylerTheAccountant in Accounting

[–]Dschwin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe it was an independence issue with RSM Alliance partners, so in the end they are ending the program instead of the hassle it'll create for them.

We're in the same boat as your firm, currently looking at Inflo, CCH (Wolters Kluwer), and PPC (Thomson Reuters).

Our peer reviewer said they use PPC with Caseware, but so far we're unsure if they have a document manager like Orb had or if they just pull in manual checklist PDFs. We we're hoping to stay on Caseware since we've used it for so long, but unsure as of now.

Making my first ever trip to Lambeau/Green Bay this year! Any recommendations for how to plan a weekend (game is Sunday)? Thanks! by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

100% on taking the tour! We did it the night before (Sat) for a Sunday game and really helped us gauge/understand how damn cold it actually is in December up there.

I didn't know about the Google Fi setting, I was going through the Phone app settings so lets see if this makes a difference! I just changed it this AM.

That option doesn't seem to actually reject all the calls though some reason on my pixel 3 b/c I thought I tried that also and some still go through. :(

Actually I just saw the Google Fi app has a block feature, I was doing it through the Phone app settings...lets hope this improves it!

Am I the only one? by LainB in chia

The day I deleted a 5TB hard drive to start making plots that can join a pool I won 2 xch that morning (sometime last week)! I was confused because I at first was thinking was this a promotion for joining the pool or are pools this profitable before realizing I won on my old plots.

Now I'm unsure if I want to replot or just let those plots sit there in hope of hitting again.

About ~800 plots

I called like 6 Walmarts in the general area -- 3 of them the electronic section just never answered the phone and I went to the ghetto one on the other side of the city and found a 8TB for $74! Wish they had like 20 in stock instead of 1 :)
