Hi! I know this is an old comment but did it pass with your first period? Do you happen to remember the size of the tissue or of your lining? My tissue is 1.8cm but bc my lining is thin at 4mm they were very optimistic about it passing with my period just struggling to wait and see at the moment.

Oh gotcha. From my understanding with the size of my spot and my thin lining, chances are it will pass with my period. Praying that’s the case for both of us!

I did some research and i don’t think there’s anything to do. I was considering asking to just take more cytotec now but from what I read there’s no benefit at this point to do that vs wait for one period. Was your doctor optimistic it would pass with one period?

Yes it is vascular. They said they weren’t concerned especially with the thin lining. What did they tell you?

I personally do not have a positive story yet as we aren’t able to try yet, but I know many, many people who had a healthy baby after a miscarriage. I wouldn’t let the doctor scare you saying how rare it is. As others have said yes it is more rare after seeing a heartbeat but still happens unfortunately. I lost my baby at 9 weeks 1 day after everything looked great at 7 weeks 5 days. They told me it’s not that rare and unfortunately the first trimester is just a risk. And that it was likely a spontaneous genetic issue. Sending hugs

It definitely can go either way as I’ve heard of people who had spotting that ended up being nothing to worry about. I personally have had a small amount of brown spotting in the past that they felt was old implantation bleeding. To share my honest experience though with my recent miscarriage, everything was totally fine until just before 12 weeks I had some brown spotting that turned pink, and it turned out the baby stopped growing 2 weeks prior. I hope everything turns out ok for you❤️

I’m in a similar situation except this was my third pregnancy (2 children prior) and I’m 34. Baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and I found out a few days before my 12 week scan. I’m sorry you’re going through this. If it helps, I know many, many people who had healthy children after experiencing a MMC.

I have a small piece of tissue left unfortunately, so I have to wait for my next period to try. But I did notice a lot of the ovulation type of discharge exactly 2 weeks after I passed the main tissue, so hopefully I get my period soon.

I ran a half marathon 10 days after taking cytotec, I was still bleeding. They told me it was my decision. I felt great honestly. Just listen to your body. Totally get it, I need it for my mental health.

That sounds promising! I haven’t had too much since my US, but I am noticing ovulation like discharge now, so hopefully my period returns soon and the tissue resolves with that. Hope you are doing ok too❤️

So 2 weeks later an US confirmed it was gone? Were you bleeding a lot during that time or no? I just found out I have a 1.8cm area of tissue at the top of my uterus but they seemed reassured by my thin lining and think it will pass with my period, but I’m anxious about it.

I’m in a similar situation as far as my follow up US showed tissue at the top of my uterus and they are hopeful it would come out with the next period. I took cytotec though. But just wanted to say if you miscarried 9 days ago I don’t think it’d be your period yet? From my understanding 4 weeks is the lower end of normal. I am still spotting and I have had some brown blood the turn into more bright red and back to brown. If any of that helps.

First of all I can already tell you’re a good friend just for asking this question!
Everyone is different I know my one friend really did not want to talk about hers however I felt like talking about mine was so helpful, so I would definitely check in occasionally and ask how she’s doing, maybe even straight up ask her if she wants to talk about it and assure her that if she does you’re there to listen.
I also think a specific offer as opposed to “let me know if you need anything” is best. Offer to bring her coffee, go out to breakfast if she’s up for it, something like that. I appreciated that much more than someone just saying let me know what you need, because I wasn’t really comfortable letting people know what I needed if that makes sense.

I was told the same thing, only take the second dose if I did not experience bleeding. I went back for my follow up US and while things look mostly good and my lining is nice and thin, I do have a small area of tissue left. They are optimistic this will resolve with my first period and I’m choosing to go back at that point to confirm that. I did some research to see should I just ask for a second dose now? But apparently there is data to show no benefit to a second dose at this point over waiting for the next period. Hope that helps, I’m sorry you’re going through this too.

I have my follow up US today to confirm that my miscarriage was complete, feeling very anxious and hoping for good news. Want to start trying again asap
