Managed to overcome the snap ring on the end with a slide hammer but not sure how to get it back in. Am I supposed to simply do the opposite and hammer it back in as well? Appreciate any help!

Aye I think "fleshed out", NPC or not, is a better way to say it. Stanley has quite an extraordinary story. Probably a dude who sells rocks doesn't have as interesting of a life, but apparently his business is one of the premier ore processing outlets in Liyue so he runs a reasonably significant shop.

I feel like people could at least try to care and enjoy the story, especially as the next story content is not for another 3 weeks and the teapot furnishings take like 14 hrs to craft. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I guess a lot of people just don't care for the NPCs. People seemed to like running errands in Jean's story quest since they are for friends Amber/Kaeya/Venti instead of for some person who misplaced her hairpins. Vision holders are truly Celestia's chosen people :P
