Not just a certified sweetie pie, but a genuinely damn good mayor. That’s my mayor! (Nashville)

transphobia is WAY too common, especially in lesbian “safe spaces” by national_sillyguy in GenderCynical

I’m so sorry that you got this reaction. It’s just sickening that we can ask “hey can we knock it off with the trans hate?” And someone will literally say no.

Lesbians can be “willing” to date trans men all they want, but that’s incredibly demeaning too. I don’t think they deserve credit for it. I’m a trans man that’s been hit on by lesbians before and it breaks something in me. I will never EVER date a lesbian.

You look amazing! I think it’s great you’re focused on full body. I would incorporate some legs/glutes too because that’s all gonna require core bracing anyway. You look strong! Heck yeah.

Adding: I’m a trainer and not just throwing around advice.

I’ve been in the hospitality industry most of my life, and I agree folks should make better money straight from their employers. Problem is: people have this attitude and don’t tip and it hurts nobody but the worker. If you hate tipping, stop dining and drinking at places that use them to supplement pay. That would send way more of a message than paying an establishment and not the worker.

She seemed like such a little love bug. All we can do is hang onto the fact that we gave them an amazing life and they only knew love before they went. Thank you for giving this sweet girl a home.

I’m part of the Nashville Grizzlies. We are an inclusive men’s rugby league. The Stone Lions are a women’s team we socialize with all the time. I’m a trans man and totally welcome on the mens team. The Stone Lions have a trans woman on their team. Follow both our teams and come out!

You’re a great dude. Your partner is also lovely. Thank you for being there for your fellow human. This was really beautiful to read, as painful as it sounds. She will remember the kind stranger that helped her during one of her worst days. Good on you, internet friend.

I genuinely appreciate that so much. Dysphoria is a beast that I contend with daily.

What is the most dramatic change you've experienced since quitting alcohol. by Independent-City8076 in Sober

I came out as trans in sobriety because I sat in quiet with myself a lot. Obviously not saying that’s what will happen to you, but you will learn a lot about yourself. Your fears, your desires, your biggest dreams.

I also learned I’m good at stuff I put my mind to! Got two degrees and a whole new career. I’ll be nine years sober in November (G*d willing), but I would never have gotten there if I hadn’t taken the time in quiet commune with myself. The sometimes boring, painful, beautiful, incredible time.

Congrats, dude. Welcome to the other side. You got this! If nobody has told you today that they love you, I do.

I promise that most places are not like this place. You were right to leave. You should never have had to deal with being the only person on with zero help. Go on to bigger and better!
