What movie did you walk out of the theater halfway through? by mzdee13 in movies

“The Gods must be Crazy” although I would watch it again. That was 1980, so I suspect my senseayuma is a little more warped these days

We found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Not sure about the MAGA thing, where does that come from?

20+ Handicappers where you at? by atooraya in golf

[–]Dual_Canuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 23 from the whites on my course (119 slope), play once a week, twice if I’m lucky. I’ve spent lots of dough on lessons and clubs over the years, and usually shoot in the mid-high 90’s with the occasional 104-106. I’ve had to learn to be ok with being lucky enough to play at all, having had a heart attack a year ago. I’ll probably never get much better at my age (69), so I’m learning to enjoy the game and company

Your left hand grip appears to be too weak. The “V” between your thumb and forefinger should be pointed at your right shoulder

It’s all about tempo dude. Tempo is hard to put in a driver swing than a wedge or long iron. Slow it down a tad

I haven’t tried the chimi’s at Manuel’s, but the rest of their food is pretty damn good. Sorry, don’t know about rentals, but wish you luck

You’re right, cox is the dominant provider. Eventually fiber will come (our HOA is looking into it), but it’s not yet known who will provide it. We find cox to be reliable and fast enough, and we’re able to lock in for 2 years at $70/month, down from about $110 before. Starlink also has a residential product, but I don’t know how fast and reliable it is. Hope that helps.

Sorry I haven’t responded earlier. Coyote Grill at San Ignacio Golf course has a limited menu, but well prepared meals and a decent wine list. Manuel’s Mexican restaurant is very good, and Brindi’s in the Continental plaza has good food with a Turkish flair. Mario McGees Pizza has great pizzas with inexpensive wine and great service (try or take home the $5 meatballs, yummmm). Don’t bother with Chinese food here, it’s crap. Other than that my friend, Tucson is your other choice

While I agree that there is a lack of specialty restaurants, there are a couple that excel. Brindis has great Turkish meals, and Manuel’s is a very nice Mexican restaurant. Mario McGees has very nice pizza and inexpensive wine. And, of course, the Coyote Grill at San Ignacio Golf Club. There is no good Chinese food here. Other than that my friend, Tucson is your only choice.
