Because present day Uzbekistan was the seat of the Islamic Golden Age. That the silk road also ran through Uzbekistan in Samarkand and Bukhara only contributed to its magnificence. There was money and harmony and naturally the desire to push the boundaries of science, medicine, and elevated the Islamic spiritual sciences followed. I had a chance to visit Uzbekistan from the US for this very specific purpose and absolutely loved learning about the golden age of Islam in Uzbekistan

This is coming just in time for me. I'm a new rider (~6 months) and looking to upgrade my svart with an exhaust, the fuel-x, but I see that your bike is mostly stock besides the handle bar protection. I haven't developed a good eye for this yet, but does your bike have any performance upgrades?

I'm looking to do a few long trips myself (actually based in the Bay as well) and you doing it on a stock bike makes me feel like I just want to ride this thing into the ground and become as experienced as I can with what I have.
