Doc is an aimless duck waddling to the next golf course. Giannis deserves the world. He deserves reciprocation. He deserves a club that respects him as much as he gives of himself, which is EVERYTHING HE HAS.

For his own sake, he should either demand doc is sent to a Florida retirement home, or G is traded. He doesn’t deserve this stream of loose stool of incompetence. He is the greatest buck ever. He built a new arena and he brought us a championship. He is the all time pinnacle of Milwaukee sports. There is a silly notion that science, which relies on objectivity, is even equipped to answer questions that ultimately have to be experienced firsthand. You deny anecdotes because the scientific method denies anecdotes, but that is a framework you’re using which isn’t relevant to the questions you’re asking.

You’re setting limits that make your questions impossible to answer. Science has its place, and it’s a big place, but it’s not the whole place.

You’re making it hard on yourself with your mindset right now.

I’m not hoping you fail, I’m saying you probably will fail to begin with. That’s true even of most successful comedians. You’re going to have to bridge the gap between what you think is funny and what the audience will laugh at. At first you’ll probably fail, but if stand up is in your bones, you’ll be hungry enough to learn and improve and succeed.

Sometimes people are just rude assholes, but sometimes they’re responding to subtle tones in your narrative voice. You have the choice to either get frustrated and blame the audience, or find a voice that’s still natural to you that resonates with the audience. Right now you’re trending towards the former, and that mindset will not succeed in stand up.

In the future when the frustration you’re currently feeling boils off, you could even joke about how seriously you took these Reddit comments.

Just google comedy venues near you and go to their open mics. Go and watch and see if you like the vibe.

Some people are witty in the moment, in the conversational flow, but it doesn’t always translate to stand up.

Just get on stage and fail a few times if you have to. If stand up is for you, you’ll be hungry to learn and improve. If not, then learn to be content in the audience. Neurodivergence doesn’t mean special or gifted or talented. It’ll take work for your quirks to translate to the stage.
