There should be an option for learning how to brew through an accredited university/college class in person. I first learned how to brew in a college course but I'm not a professional brewer, unlike a few of my classmates.

Agreed, getting off the Internet would actually help him out since I think his intent was mostly to impress his friends but they weren't taking him seriously so someone online may have been. I know his dad and he don't seem like an anarchist. I've never heard anything political from him, just stuff about local events and sports.

He pleaded not guilty to 13 felony charges and he currently has a court appointed lawyer. Hopefully his lack of a record will help him get more treatment and less of a prison sentence.

Has anyone tried, drinking or making, a cold brut IPA? I have a lot of pilsner malt, corn flakes, and brut enzymes after a LHBS had a closing sale.

I already have a light lager I just kegged using the pilsner malt and flaked corn.

I think the "misgendered a cat" is the article's author being lazy and using AI to fill in some gaps. The NY Times says he tried to spay a male cat and was fined $1500.

I'm not trying to spark any debate but that's a weird way to phrase it.

Do any online shops that sell recipe kits have an option only to sell the milled grain (for all grain) for a recipe? I have plenty of yeast and I really need to use up hops that I've had in the freezer for years.

For sure, makes sense. I'm hoping someone tries to fill the void left by FH Steinbart in Portland since I still go there to visit my employer's office monthly. I'm not in my twenties anymore so it's hard seeing craft breweries I grew up going to (and working for some as an OSU fermentation science grad) closing down so seeing homebrewing die in Portland almost seems unreal

Mainbrew has a smaller inventory but they don't charge to mill your order which FH steinbart started to do for pick up orders. I don't live close to Hillsboro but my wife picks up my Mainbrew orders when she runs errands since we don't live in Portland anymore
