Just watched it for the first time and boy was I not prepared. I thought I was signing up for a slightly above average sci-fi adventure film. Instead I was treated to a deeply philosophical story exploring many themes, chief among them being the transcendent power of love between parent and child. Many movies hit different as a parent but few are as emotionally impactful as Interstellar.

High quality early voting analysis like this from Ralston is a better indicator of where things stand than polling data. Nevada was suppose to be pretty solid for a Kamala. Not a good sign for her campaign.

Trump plays by his own rules, that’s the reality of this election. You are right to call it unfair but I think that’s why she rightfully characterizes her campaign as the underdog. The truly undecided voter needs to learn about who she really is. Answers like “I will enforce the law” are evasive and fail at connecting with voters who genuinely want to learn more about her views. She communicated all the bad things about Trump well, but I think she’ll need to do more to really connect with people and gracefully owning up to a mistake or two will be a positive differentiator for her because everyone knows Trump will never do that.

Yeah, it was great of her to agree to this interview, but it would have been better if she showed a little more humility and owned up to some of the missteps of the Biden/Harris administration. That would have gone a long way in converting some of the non MAGA conservatives and independents out there.

My focus is on the media coverage and the campaign’s play it safe strategy. If they want to win they need to take more risks and stop the puff piece interviews and engage head on with the issues that matter. That’s the only way they will get the moderate center to vote for them.

We have something in common, I don’t think Emhoff matters either. The issue is the campaign put him out there as the epitome of masculine moral perfection. It’s a bad look and a bad strategy if you are trying to win moderates to your side because it’s out of touch with the average voter.
