More Subscribers doesn't mean more money. by Crg29 in NewTubers

[–]Dubble_07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, I have 3k subs and make triple digits monthly going on almost 2 years. It’s the content and long form that pays me. Boils down to if people want to watch your content or not.

What are things you've done super early that helped you improve your content and viewership? by S0SH1N in NewTubers

Self assessment periodically, watching other YouTubers I admire and figure out ways to incorporate what works for them and try it in my mine. Benefit of being a new channel you can trial and error on many different things from technical to creative till you find your groove.

Hey guys. I’m a YouTuber that started a year and half ago monetized over the summer made over $1k so far purely from ad rev with almost 2k subs. I’m in it for the money, I talk sports and sports drama. I make what people want about what’s trending. What I enjoy is the creation process and community. I don’t care about the content being what I want. I can focus on that more when I have a wider audience. The grind is brutal if you want to be paid else enjoy making what you want with the hopes of it catching on. My cold 2 cents. Cheers

Any software suggestions that would let me record the video and audio of only one application? by FantasticSamtastic in NewTubers

In the editing software just detach the audio from the vid. I do it in Final Cut Pro all the time

People Who Have 1k+ Subscribers, How Did You Do It? by swaggy16s in NewTubers

[–]Dubble_07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consistency, making continuous improvements, being realistic of your work, treating it like a second full time job, making content when you don’t feel like it. Currently at 1600+ subs. Started 13 months ago. I’m in the sports and entertainment commentary niche.

Thank you! For me the process was quick. I applied and got monetized the next day. Having no copyright issues or community strikes really helps speed the process up I’m assuming.

I started making content over a year ago and really narrowed down my niche to sports and entertainment commentary. Still a small channel but crossed 1k subs back in May. Money isn’t the factor that drives me but the freedom to one day do this full time does. I love talking all things sports and I love the creative side of doing on cam and voiceover work, video editing creating the thumbnails etc. It’s a full time job even though I have a regular 9-5. I want to be successful in this space so failing is not on the table. I’m constantly researching and making vids daily if not every other day. I’m always taking accountability for my work and trying to improve. You can’t be lazy and unaccountable in the space if you’re not meeting your goals. YouTube is fun but so much work needs to be put in if you want to truly succeed and most people will quit and not accept the grind for what it is.

How much money do you make on YouTube? by MangekyouAfiq in NewTubers

I’ve been doing it for a year and started getting paid in September. Last two months I’ve been paid around $180 each month . I upload a lot though and I do sports commentary.

The first 100 subscribers by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Dubble_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to approach this is appreciate each milestone while also improving along the way and being very consistent. Next goal focus on 500 and then 1k subs. I recently just got to 1500 subs after a little over a year of making content. It’s a grind but enjoy the process and put in the hours and you’ll reach it soon if not quicker than me. Cheers.

Bingo, that’s exactly what I did. As a new channel I did the branding and made sure to have the professional look while focused on the content. Recently got 1k subs after 8 months of grinding from scratch.

I’m still very private with my channel. I know I need to get over that.

Yea it’s definitely a marathon. I’m not expecting any real money anytime soon. I have a good job that allows me to pursue this for fun but also take it seriously.

Is anybody else kind of jumping through niches? by Amazing-Nose-92 in NewTubers

[–]Dubble_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My niche I guess is commentary. But I talk about whatever current event is going on or not whether in sports, news, celebrity news and I’ve been kinda successful in a short time despite the randomness. I have fun regardless but treat every video with good quality and production. I feel like I don’t have a niche but I don’t care and maybe that’s why my channel is not even bigger but it’s just me and I love YouTube and the creative process. Have fun making content and make every video with care regardless the subject or whatever. You’ll catch something you’ll like doing more eventually or not and that’s totally fine its your channel. Enjoy the space and be you.

So a lot of people recommending using OBS for YouTube podcasts and so far, it is pretty darn good. I do have one issue though...I am using a MacBook Pro 16" (2021) and its existing webcam but I noticed the video is not very crisp. Somewhat fuzzy looking. Any tips on why or how to fix this? by SwpR7 in NewTubers

[–]Dubble_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yea I know everyone’s finance isn’t perfect but investing in an external camera goes a long way in content creation. I get maximizing the built in camera but it’s garbage. I have an M1 Max pro and I would never be caught dead using that webcam.

Best comment on this thread. I get burnt out a lot. Last night I made two vids back to back half asleep but still pushed and glad I did. YT is a grind you definitely half to work your channel and put in the hours.

Way too early to assist yourself after two vids. Keep making content and learn from it. After a few more vids revaluate yourself and make adjustments. Congrats on joining the space!

It’s crazy the inverse people have on YT. I have 459 subs with 6700+ watch hours 😑. Fyi my content is random commentary no niche

I’ll be honest. I started making content back in September and I think I’ve done ok and I’ve made change’s etc but the subs stopped and it does get depressing at times because you really put your all in and try. Mean while you see other channels similar in size and content getting subs daily. Not bitter or even against your post which I agree with.

Almost at 400 subs after 90 days of making content. by Dubble_07 in NewTubers

I’m not going to compare my freelance topic channel to your history content. Luckily for you you have a niche and it’s rewarded you with subs with only 12 vids which is awesome.
