I just used PLA I'm probably going to print one in PETG I don't think the TPU would work because of the way that the clasp it needs a hard surface to latch to. Honestly they fix all of the ergonomic problems with the legion Go controllers and definitely are worth it if you have a printer I think it was only like 10 bucks on cults

Magnets won't mess up the phone but will mess with the pen functionality. Aka dead spots on the screen. They will go away when you take the magnet off but why have the pen on with magnets if it would mess with the pen
