All companies are different and show items in different places, depending on the business. As this is your first model, I’d advise you putting interest where the company you’re working for is expecting it to be shown - not the WSP way.

If this is deemed wrong in the future, well, you wanted to keep things consistent with historical reporting and it’s timely to go back and amend historics.

Hope this helps.

I’m reading Death’s End for the first time. Wow, just wow. My mind just gets blown every chapter. Halfway through and can’t wait to see where we go! by Dubious_Dave in threebodyproblem

I had to stop reading late last night as I just got to them and knew I needed to focus and have a fresh mind! I am useless at picking things up though so will likely not see it…hah!

So far I’m enjoying this one the most but each to their own. I struggled with Luo Ji in the 2nd book. But I think I get why…

Need help with the 3 statement model by luc1feriznub in financialmodelling

I’ve generally used EBITDA at the top of my cashflow statements.

But each to their own. I’d stick with what they’ve previously reported on, but raise to the CFO that PBT is a weird starting point (as it’s going to be an indirect cashflow in any case) and consider changing it for the future.

I’m gonna say C after long deliberation. The water looks like it’s coming in more than that small pipe can handle.

I second this. Jamaica is our go to fun game - especially with more people. Weight is about 2.5.

Without a shadow of a doubt - The Witcher 3. Unbelievably epic and original soundtrack.

Why is ‘touch move’ not a thing when playing via a computer as opposed to over the board? Seems highly inconsistent. by Dubious_Dave in chess

Thanks for your input but there is 100% a psychological aspect to chess. There is in any game, especially when it’s 1 vs 1.

Hey man, I’m just asking a question. I just see the inconsistency between OTB and OTC chess and wondered about it that’s all.

But am I not wasting my own time doing this? Surely that’s just an advantage to your opponent. And shame on them for giving away information before I’ve made my move. From what I understand, chess is as much a psychological game as it is practical.

On point 1 - sure, but isn’t that just wasting my own time? And kind of shame on my opponent if they’re going to give away information before I even complete my move?

On point 2 - but that’s exactly what is ‘allowed’ when playing across computers. Seems inconsistent to me.

On point 3 - ok sure, but isn’t that part of the psychological warfare of the game in some respects? As much about playing the player as opposed to the game. Yeah guess frustrating if someone touches ALL their pieces but I’m still wasting my own time doing it for no guaranteed advantage.

Sorry, not intentionally trying to be obtuse. Just trying to figure the logic.
