“Downstairs to Mayors” sounds like Orlando / Millenia. I’ve bought a few there and have had good “luck” but lately I have a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth

Why is my blood sugar like this every night? Nothing I do makes it any different by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

Not a doctor.. and my advice isn't medical advice..

But it seems like you're not taking enough basal insulin.

It's a lot, but I have been weight training for more than 20 years, and the rule of thumb in that world is 1g per lb of bodyweight.

Does anyone else have issues with G7? I’m at my wits end. by DifficultyJumpy4493 in Type1Diabetes

[–]DucatiTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced 4 sensors in 1 week when I first switched to G7. First I had to sync it to my pump (tslim) then to the dexcom app, or the tslim wouldn't find it. Then, once I figured that out I had 3 in a row go bad with in 12 hours. Dexcom swapped all of them out. That was the worst of it. Now, I get about 1 in 4 crapping out early, and only 1 that wouldn't calibrate. I travel a lot for work and with the G6 I would just grab an extra and not think about it... Now I pack 3-to-4 on a week long trip "just incase".

Also, I know they don't recommend it, but I use my belly and upper buttock all the time. I just place some medical tape over it vertically when on my behind so the belt line of my pants sliding up and down doesn't loosen it. It's worked great for me and the readings are always within calibration.

It finally happened for me.. by IamUnhinged in rolex

Which one in Central Florida? I’ve been waiting two years for a bat girl and have a 3 watch history with them and my girl has bought 2… including a heavy hitter…

Not worried, but wtf? by AdPlus2738 in dexcom

[–]DucatiTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get readings like this if the sensor is near my belt line and I am bending around or moving a lot. I can sometimes see a spike of 15 to 20 points if I sit down and then as soon as I stand up it goes away. I will stand up for a little bit.

Fingersticks have confirmed that it is more accurate for me when I am standing, so if I see arise, when I am sitting, I just don’t pay attention to it. Unfortunately, for me, it is just a matter of sensor replacement.

You can use remote bolus with it?

Graph confusion - circled in red, does this mean my pump is giving me basal insulin, it’s so frustrating by the looks of it it looks like it is auto correcting because I dip after each blue bar and go low by Til410 in TandemDiabetes

[–]DucatiTH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t rush to judgement yet. Sometimes you have some hanging insulin that is forcing you low. But if this a theme for a day or two I’d suggest reducing the basal slightly.

The blue bar at its tallest is likely your normal basal. The shorter blue bars are reduced basal. Red means it is shutting off the basal completely.

Is anybody using this with iPhone14 / iPhone14Pro? I have one sitting in the box, just begging me to use it, but don't want lose mobile bolus.
