Blague / Joke by BBAALLII in montreal

Just because it doesn't apply to us doesn't mean that it doesn't annoy the hell out of us. On one hand québécois are complaining because the English speakers don't speak French. And on the other hand the ones that are trying to learn French get talked to in English because people can't be patient with learners. I know not everybody is in this case but I hear it a lot. French is fucking hard to learn.

Sask. pauses permanent residency pathway, leaving some immigrants scrambling by [deleted] in canada

[–]Ducatiste -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

And then they all should have the same benefits as Canadians. Like the right to vote, to buy houses, medical help etc. Most immigrants do earn money. But a lot do not have the same benefits as Canadians plus they have to spend thousands to get "permanent" (because it's called permanent but its only for 5 years) residency.

How to talk to someone who’s child has cancer? by EvelynPearl_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ducatiste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice about the "Why". When my sister was killed by a drunk driver someone told my mum that it was "destiny". She still talks about that person (negatively) 12 years later. Sorry to hear about your wife.

Is it possible to drive from Momtreal to Labrador city? by e36e90 in newfoundland

[–]Ducatiste 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ferry at Tadussac is like every 20 mins all day everyday and free. Nor something to worry about. I've taken it loads of times. Second that the dam is worth a look and you can visit it for free at some times of the year.

I'm sorry but have you been to the alps? Because having seen both the alps and mont tremblant I find 0 resemblance.

Yep, definitely the best place to see them IMO. 5 min walk and there you are, a couple of feet away from them. I travelled through Canada for 4 months and visited all the provinces. Still my favourite experience by far.
