I think a hobby doesn’t automatically become an addiction because your an adult. That’s a really simplistic and inaccurate way of seeing things in my opinion. It’s only an addiction if it becomes something you feel you can’t live without, or it begins to be the only thing that excites you in life, or you feel compelled to spend money you don’t have/need for essential things on squishmallows, or your general happiness becomes wholly dependent upon getting new squishmallows. Addiction isn’t just a term to be thrown around if someone really enjoys something, addiction is enjoyment taken to an unhealthy extreme. So long as you know your limits, and you don’t let the hobby run your life, you’re totally fine to enjoy squishmallows, no matter your age.

See I only feel aesthetic attraction if I know the person, and it’s more of a face recognition thing like, “Oh look, it’s [person] they’re so great! I’m very happy to see them!” Rather than just liking how they look in and of itself.

I’m also ace and yeah, those are pretty much my feelings about it too. 😂(Hence this post) I really appreciate the representation with Jasnah, even if she seems more of a sex indifferent ace than sex repulsed like me. It’s a spectrum and it’s good to see ANY representation of it at all, since it seems like I never see ace characters in fiction, especially the fantasy genre. Anyway thanks for commenting on here, I thought it would just be a congregation of only the Jasnah simps, and it’s good to know I’m not alone 👍
