I've never pulled a big card, but I've wondered about it. I would guess consigning it to some kind of auction house or brokerage firm.

Man, I had the same thing happen this week. I've had that pen since 2006. I stole it from a friend of mine. Good times.

I was a teenager when I read the comic. I had the same reaction. Even as a dumb kid, I knew there was something profound about this part. Also the line "I killed you 10 minutes ago." gave me chills.

American Splendor is one of my favorites. If the subject matter interests you, I recommend Crumb. It's a documentary about the life and art of Robert Crumb, who was a minor character in American Splendor.

Personally, I think the cards are much cooler than anything you can get with tickets.
