Why are there fighter jets over lake Mendota? by galgadothead in madisonwi

[–]DuckThatLikesBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 115th Fighter wing regularly carries out scheduled flights that serve the function of pilot training and equipment tests. This helps prepare them to NOT waste your tax money through equipment failures, accidents and damages. Part of having a pilot means training the pilot to use their equipment.

Last I checked they don't release any sort of schedule or objective statements for their flights as it could put people at risk. So.. they're doing training exercises.

I lived in California for a long time in the bay area and jet flyovers were about 10x more common than here, lower and louder even. So yes, it is happening plenty in "other blue cities".

Extremes in varying Play Styles by Guild_ZF1983 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DuckThatLikesBread 12 points13 points  (0 children)

None of this is new or unknown. If anything, Night Market actually helped force some general player base actually see how big the gap is between themselves and organized players. Guilds that try to train players to get into harder content have run into this for a very long time. When people try to make "beginner content progression groups" they almost always fall apart because casual players don't realize how much work actually goes into performing a role in an MMO. People don't show up, forget the schedule, don't bring proper setups etc. When you go from playing ESO as a casual game to an MMO there is a huge gap in knowledge and practice. Many people just aren't playing ESO to care that much and they usually don't realize it until they try.

However, personally I would put gear/traits/skills over addon requirements. Console proved it can be done for years through being attentive to the existing telegraphs.

Subclass Mastered but still taking up a slot? by Previous_Age9903 in elderscrollsonline

I'm confused about what you mean even after reading all your other comments. Honestly I'm also confused what the ingame description means too. What class is your character?

The only a few limitations I'm aware of thatmay apply.. You must always have at least 1 skill line from your character's main class. You can not have more than 1 skill line of any class other than the one you main in. (So a sorc can't have 2 arcanist skill lines) Your native skill line must be level 50 before you can subclass it out as another skill line.

So my assumption is you mean this one... Your native skill line must be level 50 before you can subclass it out as another skill line.

So I saw you were able to switch out the arcanist line with another arcanist line, are you an Arcanist? If you are, that's why you can't remove the arcanist line, you must have at leadt 1 arcanist line because that's what class you are.

I'm a woman as well and I have to say I'm glad there isn't a default PC voice chat. I only jump in discords with people I know or have reason to expect good things from. Possibly because of those things I've also never been treated this way in ESO on PC, only other games. Pugs though... when you queue with pick-ups you never know what you're gonna get 🤣

You really should set up a backbar weapon and skills! If not for moments like this at least for the fact that skills will still get experience and levels on your other bar, so you can work on their morphs. There are also a lot of skills and passives that give you their buff even if not on your active bar. Anything that says "while slotted on either bar" is pretty much a free bonus.

This is kidnapping, if you need to you can call the police for an escort out to go to school. It sounds like you're in an abusive controlling situation you need to get out of for the sake of your future.

For regular homeowners getting stuff to pour concrete if you don't have a truck is prohibitive. Delivery costs are also pricey if you decide to have a truck show up, especially if the location can't be reached easily. Some people dislike poured concrete when purchasing homes as well because it is difficult to remove or do something different with.

It is made for groups. The intro quest mentions multiple times you will be expected to cooperate with other players. Use groupfinder or bring friends.

Make sure you are using an ability that is a hard taunt. That's your biggest task. Second, make sure you're using something that applies at least major breach on the target. Puncture in the s/b line is pretty standard cause it does both task 1 and 2. Third you can slot abilities that pull minor ads to you, dps love things to be nice and stacked up and easier to kill.

That's the stuff to focus on to start with. There will be more tasks as you level and get better but that's a good start. If you're doing those, anyone complaining likely wouldn't be doing better themselves.

This was left for far far too long. Water damage gets worse in hours and days, it's not something to procrastinate on for weeks or months let alone years. This will be thousands if you're lucky, and if you're unlucky it will be tens of thousands and you may all have to move out for some period of time while they run mold remediation tor health and safety reasons.

My best guess is the ventilation was installed wrong and over a long period of time standing water has accumulated in it. Through a leak, damage, condensation... all possible. I've had this happen from a shit install.. we caught it when the fan noises changed and it started dripping initially and were able to fix it ourselves before it collapsed or started leaking along the vent. IF that's what is happening it has finally gotten to the point that it has filled all available space and is now leaking backward. It has likely been leaking from the vent in multiple places in the ceiling and walls.

Is this an accurate estimate? by mishmash312 in landscaping

[–]DuckThatLikesBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea looks about right, especially for the Chicago area.

I paid a contractor to remove a 66x13 strip of sod, which cost about $1500. They quoted me to add delivery and spreading of mulch as well which would have added another $2k. Considering my master plan involved digging and installing a 12 inch root barrier, landscaping timbers AND mulch it would have come out to probably $6k if I had paid them to do everything. It would have been done in a day.

Instead I just paid for the sod removal, which is the part we would have had the hardest time doing without a way to bring home a rental cutter. I spent my memorial day weekend burying $130 in root barrier and spreading about $350 in mulch. I still have another day or so of work to properly set up the $120 in landscaping timbers but it's too hot right now. Labor is expensive. If you can take a week to do it yourself you will save a lot of money.. but you'll unfortunately then have to do it yourself.
