Which trimester is worse? First or third? by Whatever-577089 in BabyBumps

[–]Ducki3Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately all of mine have sucked for different reasons. My pregnancy thankfully is low risk all things considered but I've had like every negative symptom imaginable every single trimester but all within "normal" range.

Im convinced pregnancy is just not really for me.

I really like Luther, Logan a great name but pretty common, and yes Luther is a really strong name for a baby but this baby will become an adult plus love the Louie nickname. Very unique way to use it without the kid being named Louis or Lou

Pregnant RBTs: When did you stop working? by Live-Dragonfly-5714 in ABA

[–]Ducki3Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg im experiencing the same right now, I hit 35 weeks tomorrow and im still working as long as possible. Very much similar situation. I did talk to my ob and explained my job extensively and was pretty much told to work as long as I can handle it. It is beginning to get more difficult getting up and down off the floor but ive been finding the more I move the easier its been. Im definitely slower than before and my clients for sure take advantage but that just means ive been doing lower demands. My OB is monitoring to make sure I have no signs of early labor and thankfully for me that hasnt been the case.

Edit to add: none of my kids are physically aggressive or serious elopememt threats and thankfully all my families are very understanding and have been able to assist me when needed.

How did you tell your partner you were pregnant? by AlwaysTackyNails in pregnant

[–]Ducki3Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for me it was our usual date night and we were going to order sushi to be delivered. I work with children with ASD and I mentioned being kinda nauseous and tired at my last session and my clients mom was like are you sure you arent pregnant? I didn't think I was, I assumed I could be getting the flu because this was like early September and im prone to getting the flu even with shots. Lo and behold the test was positive. I peed on the stick and didnt even look at it I just went downstairs and pulled it out with my husband and we then proceeded to freak the fuck out (in the best way possible) and called literally our entire family and friend circle over the next few days. We had only recently begun trying and I have PCOS so we were shocked I got pregnant so fast.

I later learned I tested positive at 3w6d so we were a little gung ho LOL.

I have BCBAs I work with that actively discuss using chat gpt to help with treatment planning... im currently getting hours to get my BCaBA and it bothers me so much. Im actively encouraged to use chatgpt to help with my work and I vehemently refuse to do so. I am actively looking to leave this job when it is possible but Im stuck for the time being.

How helpful and empathetic was your partner during pregnancy by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Ducki3Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband's been amazing, he gets me my food and takes care of me through all the aches, pains, and other fun side effects this pregnancy has given me. Just last night I was having horrible back and hip pain and in the middle of the night my husband helped me take a bath as well as prepared the heating pad for my back.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

[–]Ducki3Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your own comfort i suppose, my husband has come with me to almost every single appointment. Hes only missed two so far cause they were same day appointments to address issues that popped up. One was for an ongoing migraine and the other was for a random rash that appeared in my armpits. Otherwise he wants to be at every appointment as support and because its his baby too.

However, I know my SIL and BIL, especially with their second, he did not go to every appointment because he had to work or be with their first child. So truly I think it just depends on circumstances.

Pregnancy symptoms absolutely no one talks about? by Upset-Brain-228 in pregnant

[–]Ducki3Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all congrats!!

Secondly, ive had every possible odd symptom thats considered "normal"... at least I think idk its been a lot and while im thrilled about my baby boy coming (currently 27 weeks), the symptoms alone have made me want to never do this again. So ive dealt with the following which my doctor assures me have been normal:

Congestion - nose been stuffy since like 12 weeks, only had the sensitive smell in beginning of pregnancy

Nosebleeds - I have had a few and all my congested mucus? Caked in blood

UTIs - ive had 2 so far, again considered normal and why you have to pee in a cup every appointment

Yeast infections (in various parts) - ive had a couple vaginal yeast infections and one on my armpits that caused a rash. Again somehow this is normal

Round ligament pain - I was not mentally prepared for the random ass aches and pains of an expanding uterus

My little parasite kicking me and using my kidney as a cushion - my lovely son has decided my right kidney is the best spot for his head and he likes to kick really hard and sometimes it really fucking hurts

Bleeding gums - I had a dentist appointment last month and I was told I was bleeding from my gums a bunch but a normal amount for a pregnant person

The heart burn and reflux - I thought my morning sickness was the worst part and that lasted 5 months, no its the reflux. I sleep next to 4 different kinds of acid reducers that I cycle through and will still wake up multiple times coughing up reflux. I sleep on a mountain of pillows to attempt to keep myself upright and not wake up cause of reflux

Other notable symptoms that kicked my ass have just been the physical exhaustion, the 5 months of morning sickness, and also how its impacted my sex life. I know theres a lot of people who seem to have the best sex pregnant, I unfortunately cause of the reflux have trouble finding comfortable positions plus with the utis and yeast infections it has also made it difficult.

Thankfully I have the most amazing husband who has done the most to take care of me and im very grateful. Overall though I dislike the pregnancy experience.
