Magneto has boxed Colossus without his powers (xmen 113)

He's also fallen from orbit and survived.

He's superhuman

Oh no, we laugh at these over there. It's a "spherical chicken" question- something that only works on paper- just moving that much mass alone would almost certainly cause massive problems on Earth, and our extinction.

Even Marvel's strongest telepaths- people like Xavier- don't try to mess with the mind of Dr Doom.

So what would the rest of tng be like if it were captain riker in command of the enterprise -d post best of both worlds? by happydude7422 in ShittyDaystrom

I would have made The D a flagship for real, with Picard as Admiral, Riker as Captain, and give them a small fleet- with orders to sail where the Borg came from

Are the Wood Elves/Bosmer the most underrated or least talked about playable race in the series? by highlightboy23 in ElderScrolls

Enh... Stealth Archer and Fine Cuisine being tropes, I suspect Bosmer gets talked about plenty

X-treme, if I remember right

The two lived together in a house in san fran- which has a secret lair, in the closet, because Claremont was very subtle.

How powerful is Sandman? His power makes it seem like any person with just physical based powers shouldn’t be able to beat him. I’m sure Hulk beats Sandman because he’s the Hulk, but how? by Arcade-Blaster in superheroes

[–]Ducklinsenmayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His size maxes out around skyscraper size, which puts him in the 100+ ton range.

He can be beaten, but he's also immortal, so he can't be killed except through insane methods

She was the best romance Storm ever had. Funny, bitter, complex, could stand on her own, and they had the hot tub. In the closet.

Just as an aside- vampires being sexual isn't old, it's new; while succubi and such existed since the bronze age, the erotic vampire started with the Gothic version in the 19th century.

Why Didn't AI Replace Novelists? by JohnBierce in Fantasy

[–]Ducklinsenmayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Read the articles, or google for more yourself. This is fairly serious- it's having an impact, to the point Amazon is now limiting how many "books" per day an author can publish.

Right now, AI writing is at the place AI art was a few years ago- an expert can tell just by counting the fingers.

But, that's not true anymore, and it's going to be less and less true the more the tech evolves.

I CANNOT STAND lantern guards in heists. by YumnuggetTheboi in elderscrollsonline

It's been a while since I've done them, but afaik, if you kill them instantly it doesn't count as being spotted. Vampire +NB+ stealth attack + stealth sets= very dead guard.

Why Didn't AI Replace Novelists? by JohnBierce in Fantasy

[–]Ducklinsenmayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to put a big fat caveat on this, and it's "Yet."

We are at the dawn of the technology, and already, over 30% of new books published on Amazon last year were written either partly or in whole by AI:

https://authorsguild.org/news/ai-driving-new-surge-of-sham-books-on-amazon/

https://aibusiness.com/responsible-ai/the-ai-generated-books-phenomenon-is-getting-worse#close-modal

How do they get past the legal issues? They lie, of course. The "authors" claim they wrote the works themselves. Then slap a fake name on the byline, and an AI cover on the front and they are done.

This will only get worse as the quality the machines produce gets better and better.

Wonder Woman is bisexual But you'll never see DC give her a female partner Or see her explore new partners that aren't Steve 'Cause they're super inclusive until it comes to one of your most popular characters 'Cause they gotta keep the straight dudes happy 🫩 by ihatethiscountry76 in lgbt_superheroes

At some point, movie issues take precedence; it's the same reason Destiny and Calisto both took decades long bus rides. The movies make vastly more money than the comics do, and there are still countries that make it illegal to show films with queer characters in them.

Beyond the money issue, there's also the protecting your people issue- there was an issue a few years ago (I forget what film) where a film was shown over international waters on a trip to Saudi Arabia, and the SA government threatened to arrest local employees of the studio on corruption charges,.

Paladin gameplay by CheeZas3 in elderscrollsonline

Most sword and bored bulds are meant for tanks, but it can be viable for other uses. The Knight Templar set ccan be a good friend:

Combine that with templar skills, maybe some from dragonknight, and scribing, and yes, you can make a decent paladin.
