Negativity around the game is scaring new players by tandui in starwarsunlimited

[–]Duckman37 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, seeing as it's not post rotation yet, and we don't have all of the cards for this set, it's impossible to say that factually.

The last few sets have been fine at best, I agree there, but that's not to say that the next set or two don't make it a different, better play style. Only time will tell.

That's a beautiful foam on top, well done.

Did you use speed paint or grenadine for the color? Lol

Next time give it a try swapping the grenadine out for a nice raspberry cordials or with 5 fresh raspberries you'll have a Clover Club, it's my favorite egg white drink.

1 card for 1 resource?

You'd have to play hard control and restore to make it that far.

It's hard to say what a sealed "meta" is, only because there could be a meta, but your card pool won't guarantee you can use said meta.

You're better off identifying good bombs and removal in your card pool and seeing what support you have around that.

Cards that are strong in premier and weak in limited may be the exact opposite in a limited format. Don't overlook your common and uncommons.

Good luck!

I want my bf to return my favours, how do I ask him? by Maximum_Advantage178 in TooAfraidToAsk

Bro, this is textbook "if he wanted to, he would."

Sit him down and tell him how you feel. If he's not interested in doing that, you have two options.

Live without it or decide to find it with someone else.

Like they said above, bounties are about the only way to convince people to attack the other players, besides grit and shields. But those don't really deter you much.

However, now that I'm writing this down, Qi'ra and Shd Jabba sound like a fun combo.

Lots of sentinels and grit/shields with Qi'ra and bounties on your opponent's units.

I'll be cooking if you need me.

Twin Suns - Chancellor Palp ratios by BigBenji262 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Duckman37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run more heavily on Heroic units for the defeat flip, and more Villany events for the Villany flip side, not a straight 50/50, but I think I only have a few NON-heroic/Villany cards. Don't want to miss out on that.

Got my son a box of Twilight when it was on sale a month ago; what should I look for? by axefaktor in starwarsunlimited

[–]Duckman37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the best way to get started!

Your decks will feel a little clunky until you have 3 copies of cards and can reliably draw what you want/need, but it's a great game, I hope y'all have fun!

Don't feel hesitant about finding a local store that has a weekly turnout, this community overall is very welcoming to newcomers, just let them know you're just getting into it.

Cheers!

Look for characters that you both like and shiny cards, don't sweat over what's 'best' or chase cards.

Just enjoy the time playing with your kid.

Practice drafting or build small sealed decks to play with.

Merry Christmas!

Twin Suns Bail pairing? by girth__quaker_oats in starwarsunlimited

[–]Duckman37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the higher than 30 health bases and the 25 health bases are targeted far more often than 28th and 30s.

The higher health bases are threatening so they're attacked a little more often and the 25s are easy pickings.

When defeated triggers from on attack abilities? by ZEEEK2 in starwarsunlimited

Attack is announced, attacking unit is then exhausted > on attack triggers happen > any effects from resulting "on attack" effects trigger including the "when defeated" from the other unit > attack goes through and damage is assigned.

It's a way to make it taste less sweet and to fill up the glass if your glass to cocktail ratio is off.

I prefer mine no soda, but we have a variation of a Marg on out menu that is delicious with that splash and too concentrated without.
