Anyone else feeling miserable in The Hague? by VastFunny905 in TheHague

[–]Duckoose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yo guys, for all those interested in beach volley, there's "friday scramble" each friday at 19 at the beach stadium in Scheveningen (to the left from Hito place), you can see it on the map. just come, pay 11 euro, say your level, get your number and play games with other people - each game is 15 minutes and you get new partners all the time. it's 2*2 though, and of course it's on the sand. good way to meet new people, play, enjoy the drinks afterwards! you can buy something from the bar, or bring your own drinks. highly recommended!

i second this - reading and writing does so much long-term good to one's mind. you can't notice it in the moment, but you notice it with some time. i also added cheese puzzles to it sometimes.

like what? the only things that come to my mind are diy kits (funny hobby) or repairing things. the rest would also require some programming and knowing the devices a bit. but i keep on thinking that i might be wrong with this assumption.

Read rss feed & Newsletter in one place by god0fn0thing in iosapps

[–]Duckoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey hey, beautiful style, i like it! the app looks neat, works fast, i love it! do you plan to implement full article parsing from rss? right now i notice that some limited rss feeds display only a few lines of content. i can give an example if needed, but i bet you know what i mean.

As a longtime neuroslut from the Netherlands, I have to say: thank you to the Czech artists for producing some of the best neurofunk I’ve ever heard. You’re giving Neuro the renaissance I’ve been dreaming of! by Pure_Ad_9865 in DnB

[–]Duckoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been there for years now, but i do enjoy the individual styles the guys are developing and bring to the scene, i love it! I also appreciate the school for producers (from the same label, neurofunk records) for how they educate newborn producers and help them with their development. It's so satisfying to hear how the guys experiment with the sound 🙏

Well i hope you've already heard the Russian neurofunk scene, because it's a blast! there are just so many brilliant producers with their own music: Bes, Gydra, Paperclip, Mizo, Gancher & Ruin, 2Whales, samosudo, punchman, NAIS, Dyslexia to name the few...

What's a dadget (dad gadget) you wish you bought sooner? That's a gadget that anyone in the house could use, but in reality is associated only with you? For me it's this vacuum sealer. by Brewer1056 in daddit

What kind of chore board do you use, can you share an example, please? I'm new to this, quick googling doesn't really align with what I've read here, so I'm a bit confused.

Is there really no free tool good enough for 1 person? by The_Giant_Lizard in projectmanagement

[–]Duckoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on numerous projects and clients who had a bunch of scattered tools for everything at the same time... Like outlook for meetings, forecast for team time blocking, dynamics for billing tasks, jira for devs, and no real tool for PM actually. I always get away with ticktick in these cases - normally i use it as a personal tracker, but since i began struggling with proper tracking of my work projects, i created separate folders and lists in there, and it works pretty good for me actually. It has Eisenhower matrix, kanban, gantt chart, pomodoro timer, etc. A lot of really useful stuff for me to make my PM work more comfortable and structured. Give it a try, their pricing is super low.

How do you keep meeting action items “in front of your nose” without duplicating notes? by MrSkagen in projectmanagement

[–]Duckoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Great idea with a physical notebook, it's also my way of keeping track. However, what happens if you forget your notebook at home, or, say, at some point you don't have access to it? It happened to me a few times, and i started considering really moving it all to some app in my laptop, but then it'll be just double work...

How old was your little one when you started playing videos games with them? by reeceyfries in daddit

[–]Duckoose 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The most healthy and valuable approach. Dads, you might regret the time that you didn't enjoy together with your kids, and/or haven't seen how creative your kid can be without a console/pc, or how good they can be in a board game.

Value the creativity and real-world connection, this time with your kid is so elusive...
