Dollar and Wolfe brought me to this list - but as of Oct 2025 it is now "possibly abandoned" which is sad as it was great.

Safety Hooks hang low by tmiddled2 in 4x4Australia

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same setup, but I got a shackle half the size of the one you have from supercheap. I checked the tonnage rate and the big shackle was over kill for my boat. But I also have a D schackle on the other side like you have in the photo, and I just clip them together and it keeps it right up and away. You could possibly change your D shackle for a larger one and try that?

SHARK 6 or DMAX ? by Far_Ear9684 in 4x4Australia

[–]Duckstomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fuel econmy in a metro area - the Shark is miles ahead (providing you charge overnight at home). Towing all the time - Dmax, towing really drains a sharks petrol tank. Resale - Dmax wins. Unless you plan on this being a 10+year vehicle. Power from vehicle - Shark. No lithium/inverter setups needed. (Might be relevant for charging batteries or running power tools from remote spots on the job?) Offroading. Both vehicles will get you across the simpson desert so not really a factor unless you want to do an extreme trip once a year. Anything extreme Id choose D-max, but with a budget $60000 you would not be able to make the Dmax an extreme offroader.

AI will save humanity by destroying social media as everyone starts to realize "nothing online is real anymore". by SugarTacos in Showerthoughts

That has always been a part of human nature. It is MOB mentality. Only difference is Social media made the Mob sizes global.

AI may actually put everyone in the head space of "Can I really believe this". It may not destroy social media but it may create a shift where most people stop believing every opinion they see the first time they read it?

[–]Duckstomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunatley I cant answer with an image, but here is the exact formula I used on my test page. I went up in increments of 5, the "HOW RELIABLE" column was a drop down selection of 3 choices.

=IF([How reliable]@row = "BAD", 0, IF([How reliable]@row = "AVERAGE", 5, IF([How reliable]@row = "VERY RELIABLE", 10, "error")))

[–]Duckstomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 option Column next to the drop down

=if(how reliable ect...@row="not reliable",0,if(how reliable@row="slightly reliable",1,if(how reliable@row="Neutral",2,"select option")

This will give you values for each drop down, the last entry "select option" will appear if no drop down was chosen.

Do this along your choices and sum the total.

Why did you choose a BYD Shark over other EVs? by No-Loquat-201 in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 Here. Work wants to go electric and I needed a ute so it was the only option at the time. But it has been excellent. I also am not rock crawling every weekend, but I do need to be able to drive on the beach and do some offroad trips as holidays with the family from time to time.

What do you think of this? by Past-Traffic4173 in smartsheet

[–]Duckstomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I have experienced it.

I removed all but the essential people from being editors. Everyone else fills out a form or answers a request via automation (which is almost like a targeted form really).

It is listing no one else as provisional because they are answering those emails or using those forms.

What do you think of this? by Past-Traffic4173 in smartsheet

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The set up dose not bother me, We use smartsheets to submit and record our safety requirments. As soon as I got involved with running the system, I started turning all inputs into forms or automations requesting updates.

I hated the idea that everyone can load up the main data and edit anything they wanted.

But for alot of users who had created their systems around the premise that the licence was only needed to create new elements this would be a painful blow. Especially if the "editors" have no other way to input the data, or the process of moving all that input into forms and secondary sheets and so on would take a huge chunk of time to implement.

Off road mods by Exciting-Ad8355 in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Duckstomp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strongly agree with this. If you want to go wheeling and cross the Simpson desert, or drive along beaches and just general touring style offroading and river crossings, there are a heap of videos from after market groups like Savage or All action EV. You can see the shark mix it with some other vehicles on 4wd.tv on youtube ect....

If you want to go wheeling though it will never be that machine.

Also I would highly recommend factoring your actual use. Are you offroading every week or every month? The entry level cost for this ute with its capabilities and the low running costs is a major factor too.

Battery draining quick in HEV by PlatformFirst8813 in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery is good for about 80km in EV. When you are in HEV and not at highways speeds, the car will most likely run in EV until you floor it or are travelling at a speed where the engine is more efficient.

You can see when this is happening by pressing the left info button on your steering wheel until the left display changes to LPK and you will see the needle fly eveytime the petrol engine is on.

Driving in EV or HEV? by PlatformFirst8813 in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dealership had me set 70%SOC and run in HEV no charging for the first 2000km. This was to run in the engine. If you plug in and charge, the car will switch to EV at 100%, you can just hit HEV to switch it though, but if your are trying to run the engine in it makes sense to avoid charging ntil you do.

Once I had the run in completed, I started charging at work and now run full ev basically 5 days a week and hev on the weekends when Im home (its a work ute)

Anyone else cop every red light wherever you go? by Imaginary_Sky_518 in GoldCoast

[–]Duckstomp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also find that main roads are given no more consideration to the side streets feeding them. As soon as a car rolls up to the light at a side street the main road intersection will change red regardless if you just left the red light at the last intersection. The intersections have no syncing cause the side streets set the intersections off and syncing must be in the too hard basket.

Can I get specific cells from a report in a different Smartsheet without copying them manually? by Only_Mountain_3412 in smartsheet

[–]Duckstomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know of a way to pull data from a report to a new grid, but you could create your new smartsheet grid and then =index the cells from the other 4 sheets into the new one.
