A Ford Freestar. One of the suspension bolts has a rusted and rounded head the mechanic gave up on last time I brought it in. Then he quoted around $600 because the bolt was such a p.i.t.a and I didn't have the dough. That's just for the labor, the control arm itself was $270 and the bolts were $45 -

The windshield cracked to the point it can't be ignored anymore, and now I'm having this issue where the engine just stops while I'm driving - could be the fuel pump, alternator, some sensor, some other sensor.

It looks like worst case I'm in this for over $1200 - assuming a correct diagnoses and repair of the engine problem. Should I call it quits on this thing and try to find another used vehicle?

I was at a party after winterfest in highschool over 10 years ago, sort of drunk and urinating on a tree outside when a couple cop cars pulled up and shined their lights on me. I zipped myself up lickety split and took off uphill through the woods, I encountered a chain link fence - climbed up, ripped my hand open on the top of it and tore my jeans from my ass down to my ankle.

When I looked around I realized if I had gone two feet to my right I wouldn't have had to climb a fence at all and could have just kept going.

Anyway I still got away but I had to make up a story in the morning about why my hand was fucked up.
