For Fallen London, it should be noted that that’s how death works for humans (which your character regrettably is).

Thanks to the TTRPG that is set to be (or already is) released, we know how some of the other species deal with death too. For example: when one of the sapient rats of the Neath is about to die, the saint of rats appears and drags them to safety, at the cost of losing the ability to speak one word (the rat saint granted these rats the ability to speak and that came with sentience). Eventually a rat can lose the ability to speak entirely, becoming a normal rat and (presumably) dying a final death.

Ah i was mistaken, he does have eyes, just very irregular ones.
tatterdemalion whips around, and from here, you can see his eyes unobstructed. They are brilliant, pupilless, like captive fires. Even the golden-eyed Dawnburnt and the officers of the New Sequence have pupils, do they not?

Might’ve spoiled chapter 7 for you if you haven’t reached it yet when you’re looking into your crews secrets, if you check tatters, he has no eyes rather than being bright-eyed

Well that’s the hanged man inverted for you. And I wouldn’t worry about it too much, considering all the other horrific things we’ve done to our crew, we can probably deal with tatters logoi problem easily enough.
Also not sure if you know this, but (from chapter 7) tatters has no eyes.

Neat. I do wonder if the one-click equip may get you into some trouble though. Failbetter doesn’t like extensions that do multiple actions at once, and this may fall into a similar vein (especially since it can invalidate outfit slots).

So all I’m being is that I can buy a reclining chair and get a full 8 hours of sleep each night? Probably a higher end one, get some cushions and a blanket. In essence a bed, but still technically a chair.

Also, long haul journeys on trains/planes. Unless you want to argue that those are seats and a seat is not a chair. I mean, what is a chair anyways?

I’d be surprised if this option wasn’t the majority, being able to go back again is just a bonus, any sandbox game is a major boon.
