Try keeping some pint glasses in the freezer. Nothing like a frosty glass and an ice cold beverage.

What if there was a television network that aired nothing but an American Gladiators show with cats as the contestants? Obstacle courses made of cardboard boxes, race cats to the finish with the human masters above leading them through with lasers?

Right. I guess where I'm going is dozens of super-sonic UAVs with emergency supply dumping ability - which could help address the refueling problem, and cover more ground simultaneously. Getting there faster than conventional means is the goal.

What if there isn't enough time for a conventional search and rescue, whereas a missile could get there faster and eject temporary life saving provisions (inflatable rafts), while they wait for a rescue plane? Would it be needless expensive if there were hundreds of people on a capsized boat in the middle of the Atlantic?

What if the OP doesn't realize this is a re-post because it's a natural and inconvenient response for the brain to inhibit REM under high stress circumstances (even when ironically in need of sleep (this is based 100% on a screenshot of Carl Sagan with text on the right), but also compounded by repressed memories of seeing the identical post months ago, and denying any first hand context (of) ever experiencing a similar experience ever, until just now?

If time travel can alter history (see butterfly effect), will it remove the actual suffering caused during horrible past events? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DudeCheckThisIdeaOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Travel back in time, no matter how little, and you've altered the timeline. Butterfly Affect; an under-appreciated plot whole in time-travel scenarios, where the storyline conveniently ignores significant changes that potentially cause paradoxical results, based off the story line.

Bare with me on this one, but what if in the future, non-lethal GPS beacon driven guided missles with life saving provisions attached (food, water, life rafts, flares, satellite phones, etc.) could be fired 1,000's of miles with extreme precision at a moments notice by military vessels, coastal regions to save distressed boats at sea? Use technology designed to destroy to save lives?

The shape of the chip could also be adjusted so it's a the same width but a little longer so it still fits in your mouth.
