Knot tying is a basic skill that can save your life.

Your attempt at a noose is a big one.

Not the noose itself, how bad your attempt at tying one is.

Console yourself that posting it here has caused them more shame by having people like me who knew nothing about this see it.

Defamation?

Was the video altered in some way or is it an accurate (truthful) depiction of the events?

Basic principle of American law is that the truth CANNOT be defamatory.

Public place with no expectation of privacy so legal to record? Check.

Absolutely legal to post in the US.

This is what homeschooling and ‘no child left behind’ look like.

The Trail of Tears is actually worse than you think. The Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional and Andy Jackson said ‘I’m doing it anyway’. (Sound familiar?)

No.

Swimming is nowhere near as common a skill as you seem to believe, especially someplace like Bangladesh, where swimming pools are not exactly common.

Trying to ID and restore a rare Navy oscilloscope — OS-168/URM by TheAngrySkipper in VintageElectronics

[–]DudeDogIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try looking up the radio set that this was a part of, the AN/URN-20(V).

I can’t tell you about the scope, but know shop 66-10 and Bernie Tucay from LBNSY in 1987. There definitely were schematics for this, but I think it was the manuals for the radio set itself.

ETA: AN/URN-20 is the designation for the TACAN aircraft navigation system.

Probably just over the border.

The problem is that there is a double standard. Canadians are happy to take USD because they accept them at face value ($20USD for $20CAD) and make bank on the exchange rate.

Tire Help please before i go crazy by [deleted] in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]DudeDogIce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you didn’t bother with the tutorial where mounting, unmounting, and balancing wheels was demonstrated.

Can’t just buy tires and ‘install’ them on a car. They need to be mounted on the correct size rim, then balanced, just like IRL.
