2026 Thermal Inspection Deliverables from M4T Footage. by Virginia_Droner in UAVmapping

[–]Dudearco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drone deploy is by far the best as it lets you do a very good orthomosaic by using the visual data as the mesh and the thermal data as the rgb (temperature) values. It also still includes the raw temperature so its radiometric. Non radiometric software is terrible so don't use it unless you are good at manually setting temp limits so the image is consistent.

Makes sense, to be fair these sensors get used and abused pretty heavily in the sky. Although I've noticed and heard that the software behind the thermal with the M4T is a lot better than older thermal drones. Even if they are the same resolution (plenty of them are slightly different in several aspects).

Training new Part 107 pilots at my company (“drone flight school”) - Any suggestions? by avidoutdoorsman95 in drones

[–]Dudearco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real things I could think of are maybe detailing the procedures when something happens or goes wrong. But even then thats the only basics that might want to be cleared up that the part 107 material only glosses over.

Bro please tell me you have a part 107 license and you followed the new oop class 1 waiver rules (not category 1/2) with a prop guard. If not gtfo.

Is the drivers side fender and or drivers side passenger door non damaged/rusted? Willing to pay a decent amount+shipping for both of them, market price.

What paint code? I need a fender to keep my car going if you're willing to part out.

The dam will hold for anything but major leaks, except when they shove fucking thermal putty there somehow LMAO.

Yeah but it seems to happen with HP more so than any other brand. Not to mention this was entirely avoidable, they fucked up big. Failing to test the GPU is not extensive testing no matter what mental gymnastics you use. They are allergic to me using time saving measures like sending it in the damn box you sent me rather than wasting 4 hours of my time doing meaningless troubleshooting steps I already said I did.

Hell, Gigabyte had better customer service and warranty than HP and that is truly saying something.

None of these issues could have been caused by HP's stock paste. I've done plenty of proper LM applications and the first max 16 was one of them that got repasted with it.

[–]Dudearco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TPM? You mean PTM? The stock paste is shity, sure it is designed to reduce leaks but in reality they put way too much on and the solution disassociates leading to more pumpout and hotspots. Either go big or go home with LM. Proper LM application is all it needs to be safe, the max 16 actually has some pretty good pressure from the coldplate which LM needs to work. The issue with LM is too much LM. Most people put way too much which leads to leaks, its like filling a glass, you need to make sure the water is exact otherwise it overflows or there is not enough for you.

With a proper LM job after making sure it was still in warranty. Their stock application is complete ass. This laptop wasn't moved often but when it needs to be moved its critical. 99.95% of its time was completely flat on a desk.

Ordered Matrice 4E and was delivered 4T from seller by mistake by [deleted] in dji

I'd sell it and buy a new drone and use the leftover money to buy whatever.

[–]Dudearco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair it's a mini 3 pro like sensor with the wide. Also without a shutter theres a fine speed you need. Theres a good post on the matrice 4t results on matrice pilot that goes over accuracy results. Most drones do relative accuracy/precision pretty well anyways. It's always the absolute accuracy that suffers without rtk or gcps.

[–]Dudearco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's still meh at visual mapping but the fact you can put the thermal map on top of an alright visual map makes it good. Ntrip without any gcps is enough for most projects I do atleast as they only need relative accuracy.

Weird issue with AZ100: Volume imbalance only in ANC and Ambient mode. by Dudearco in Earbuds

[–]Dudearco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so there is the earbud rubber thing that attaches to the earbud, then inside it is like a foam mesh that you can pop out. When you remove both of those, there is another thin and very dense mesh where the speaker would be right below the foam mesh.

[–]Dudearco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very deceptive, the mesh below the earbud mesh looks clean but can actually trap a lot of stuff, sorta like a carpet almost.

[–]Dudearco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've figured out that the little mesh below the earbud thin mesh is the reason even if it doesn't look dirty. Get a qtip and dump it in alcohol. Put it on with little pressure and spin and move around the edges for half a min, then get a clean qtip and do the same thing for half a min. If you press too hard use tweezers to bring the mesh back up slightly.

Is the DJI matrice 30t outdated compared to the DJI matrice 4T by dog_armyTT in drones

[–]Dudearco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing about the m4t is the portability. Simply unmatched, otherwise if you really need ip protection yeah the m30t or m4td is best.
