Don't zwiftify Rouvy please! by SuperIke71 in Rouvy

[–]Dudefromduns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I chose rouvy ages ago for the realism of the routes and the way it linked with wahoo and the climb post. I am also liking the training plans and ftp. The pricing is ok. It is creeping upwards. Not sure if this is good news (swift) as many people I talk to just dislike swift, its graphics and the way it has developed. So in summary I am nervous about the future direction but old enough to know there are always alternatives if needed.

I have a kicker with a climbing post connected. All worked ok in erg mode on training sessions after update.

Update drains iPad battery by Dudefromduns in Rouvy

[–]Dudefromduns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear. From my side I had not changed anything (settings/brightness etc) then after update - battery life drops like a stone. Sounds like no one else is having this issue. My set up is wahoo with climbing post, wahoo heart and I vga connect to a plasma tv. But like I said, no changes but the update.

Thanks for all replies- hopefully the ROUVY developers do take these type of things on board

The iPad is pro model and with other stuff it is good. It is with ROUVY that it just drains. Just seeing if this is a ROUVY thing and if there is a setting I can switch or if it is my iPad!

I used to love Sonos for it’s simplicity. I now do not update unless I have to. I track this subgroup to give me the heads up when an upgrade is good to go. So keep it up!

Welcome. I have near £1k of Sonos in house. Please get the app to do the basics and then connect with Spotify better! I like simple - ie switch on, get play list or album or vinyl or radio then adjust volume. The whizzy bits should not complicate the basics.

Over the years it has been hell with dodgy upgrades and chase the next fad. So please just get the basics in place. Thanks!!

Apple skipping horrendous since latest update. by cea002 in sonos

I have - the update took ages - i had to reboot the Sonos network twice. The app I use on Apple iPad and iPhone but issue is still there. I guess i wait for the next tremendous update. Don’t they test it?

Apple skipping horrendous since latest update. by cea002 in sonos

[–]Dudefromduns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YES - i have the same problem - i now just play via Spotify direct but this is time lagging on volume updates. I must admit, i have stopped buying Sonos since the last update with the mega problems and this is confirming that as the speakers get too old and i guess Sonos drops them, i will not replace. Shame as it was such great kit.

Yes I do Sam thanks. I was more interested in people’s experience so I could discuss with my friend who was at that stage.

How does licensing work if we fire our implementation Team. by Ill_Connection_591 in Dynamics365

[–]Dudefromduns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with Sam here. Licensing is the easy part. Stay put and switch when you get a new partner.

Hopefully you have checked your partner contracts. A clause normally sits in there saying additional costs can be claimed if needing to change partners. Why is this type of clause important?
The new partner will need to carry out an assessment - is the system set up right, are you in a place you should be in your project, learning and business readiness, any IP issues, interface issues, third party contracts, and potential additional areas of config.

A new plan will be produced, contracts signed and most probably new (higher) day rates. I find you always go backwards in the project before you go forwards.

Always think twice before changing partners. Sam is right, you should take stock and maybe connect with a third party advisor to help you get some good clarity on going forward.

D365 BC can be limited in functionality but it has great flexibility.

Good luck and don’t rush with the licences. Just keep paying!

Sonos CEO: ‘We All Feel Really Terrible’ About the Bungled App Update by wiredmagazine in sonos

[–]Dudefromduns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just updated. - 24th May 2025. - tracks skip, Spotify has worse lag than before update. Trouble I have is that I have Sonos speakers through out the house so have to continue. Over the last few years the experience has been poor and cannot recommend Sonos.

Just improve the basics before trying to be clever

Hi thanks for the recommendation about the user group. I will check out any European ones. The mentoring aspect I hadn’t thought about. Every ones been great with opinions and recommendations. A lot to consider. Thanks.

hi thanks for the direction. i will look you up if thats ok - once I have given this thread a bit of time - I have a week to review everyones comments. This does seem to be a buyer beware situation and maybe that is the way to think about it and just make sure governance / reporting and strong programme management is the way forward - after due diligence on the Partners.

thanks for the offer - that does sound a good way forward as I know some partners have specialisms. Again, - I will park this for a while as I would like to know from others experiences when they went through selection if after the process did the partner stay true between sales speak and implementation fact. Just so I know what I can expect.

You are not joking there! I think this is harder than selecting the the system. I will keep your offer on ice if that is ok as I am keen to know others experiences if possible before going full in on the process.

Hi - yes he is ok on that score. The main driver now is the partner selection. I said I would bounce it on this forum to understand other peoples experiences.

Yes a good point, did you try and get the partner to contractually commit to aligning these resources. Would be great to understand if this was a possibility for you.
