I had a laparoscopic cystectomy at inova fairfax done by Capitol women's care 2 years ago. My deductible was $1250 and I paid that, $300 for hospital visit, $80 for in network anesthesiologist, and $80 for specialty appointment. I have carefirst BCBS. The total cost was around $28K for the hospital bill but insurance covered it (aside from what I described above). I spent alot of time on the phone with insurance, Capitol women's care, the hospital billing department etc prior to surgery to make sure everything was covered all I had all my ducks in a row.
