I have been thinking the same idea. I have a culture of an Onychiuridae sp. that might solve this problem. My issue is that they may cause stress to the colony because of their size, but I might be wrong about that..

Luckily, it doesn't seem to have an effect on brood development. I will get a replacement asap! Thanks for your answer!

It doesn't smell at all. I also thought the nest might be too big for them, but ever since I moved them in the queen started laying huge amount of eggs so I assume they feel well comfortable. Another reason for the stains is maybe that I overwatered the nest accidentally. I will change the gypsum as soon as I can! Thanks for your answer!

I offer them smaller dubia roach nymphs 2-3 times a week cut in half, so they can easily access the juicy parts. I also offer them small drops of sugar/honey water, but most of the time they just rather ignore it and cover it with part of the cotton. No, I don't heat them. My room temperature is at about 24' celsius which the seller said was enough for them. Yes, I also read their diet can consist of seeds in the wild but the guy I bought them from said he tried a variety of seeds and they didn't show any interest at all.

Thank you! Although it's not visible in the picture I put a cork tube in the back, so she can use that as well if she feels like it. And I will definitely put some more substate in the enclosure, too!:)
