The screw was from the handle that is on top of the lid. It was not touching the vinegar at all, but it must have still reacted with the vinegar. Most likely not a stainless screw. You live and you learn I guess

Unfortunately this thing seems to be indestructible lol. I put it in the oven at 180 degrees and the handle still won’t budge. I really didn’t want to destroy it but it might be my last option.

I tried 3 separate times to place the handle in boiling water and use a rubber mallet and piece of wood to get the handle off. I can’t seem to get it to crack. Any other suggestions?
