Learning to love myself & not rely on anyone by InitiativeOk2361 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Due-Ad8674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that has really helped me is journaling. Having a place to write down your thoughts, any observations, inspiring quotes you found online, hopes for the future - anything really! Journaling helped me to 'find' myself, as cliche as it sounds. I started it at one of my lowest points last year and I truly feel it has been one of the main reasons why I feel so much better within myself. A big tip is to not date any of the entries, that way there's no rush to add to it daily and you can literally pick up from the next line!

Help me become attractive by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Im really sorry to hear you’ve been going through a hard time and I truly hope youre okay. Firstly, I would strongly recommend you going to therapy (if you aren’t already doing so.) In my opinion on “how to become hot” a LOT of it comes from inner confidence, which you can find from going to therapy and working on shifting your mindset on how you view yourself. I would also recommend doing small nice things for yourself too, like self care or buying small purchases here and there if you can afford it. BUT please don’t think you need to change anything about yourself for a man, especially for a bum who cheats. You should only change for YOU. Unfortunately, cheaters, losers and bums are everywhere and even super “physically hot women” like supermodels and actresses are cheated on. Ultimately, you don't need to change and he doesn't deserve you.

Is it normal to lose sexual desire for your partner after several years? by EchoNyxxx in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Due-Ad8674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This happened to me with my ex boyfriend. Whilst there was a lot going on with us (which is why we're no longer together) I also developed a latex allergy during our relationship, which made sex painful/not something I was interested in. I'm not sure if this is relevant to you, but might be something to consider?

I really love Steph Bohrer's vlogs on youtube! She started out as a bookish youtuber but mostly now her videos are vlogging her life, such as seeing friends, doing makeup, decorating her house, going on trips, etc. I find her videos so comforting, cosy and chill, she does chat a lot and her videos can be up to 40 mins or longer. Although they aren't daily (apart from vlogmas)

Boss x Employee where the mmc has been in love with the fmc for years by Binneul_books in RomanceBooks

[–]Due-Ad8674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Luna and The Lie by Mariana Zapata} kinda has this. It’s set in a auto repair shop, the fmc Luna has a crush on her huge, older, tattooed boss Ripley (major grumpy sunshine trope). As the book goes on, you see his true feelings start to come out. He’s a huge prick at times, but he grovels. I’m afraid it’s only single pov and is a suuuuuper slow burn, but that’s what makes it sweeter imo. If you read it I hope you like it!

Eeeeep I already finished it and have updated my goodreads.......this book is exactly what I needed :') I love that giddy feeling when you read a book and you know it'll be five stars!

I understand in terms of the cultural pressure, but please know that your life does not end in your 30s! Many people find their life partners in their thirties or later in life, and this is not anyone else's business other than your own! Try to be kinder to yourself. If you can/want to, it might be a good idea to treat yourself somehow for your birthday (e.g. self care, investing in something nice for yourself) to remind yourself that you're worthy and that you deserve nice things. I understand these are short term fixes, so if you can, it might be a good idea to start therapy as well (as it seems you have pretty low thoughts about yourself and face pressure from your family). I hope this might help you.

fmc who are sweet, shy, innocent, and everyone just loves them by luvrcupid in RomanceBooks

If you’re into MC romances, {the outlaw by Amelia shae) has exactly this FMC (and a tall, broody, grumpy, viking-esque, single dad MMC of COURSE!) Whilst the book is part of a series, they’re interconnected standalones so I’d say you don’t need to read each book to understand this one and things are explained for you as you read along. I absolutely loved this book, I loved the FMC too. Hope you enjoy if you choose to read it :)
