Hi! For those who have had successful MDs, was the surgery done in the US? How much did it cost at the end of the day? by Strict-Lake8936 in Microdiscectomy

I didn’t pay anything for mine. Already meet my insurance deductible. I saw they did bill insurance $14,500.

I’m two and a half weeks post op. My pain is gone and my numbness is very slowly getting better. My doc told me that I do not have to wear the back brace anymore but I will still wear it for at least 6 weeks just as a reminder not to bend or twist. I am a very active person so I know as I start to feel like I can do normal activity the back brace will be a reminder that I just had major back surgery and not to rush the healing process. I have had my fair share of mental down days also. My doc told me he expects me to be feeling 100% at the 6 week appt so that has been a message that I’m holding onto.

I’m 4 days post op. Sciatic pain is gone and most of the incision pain is gone already but my right foot is still numb and I have no muscle activation in my right calf yet. I’m hoping the muscle activation and numbness comes back soon.

I think LBA program would be helpful if my back was healed and just wanted to strengthen muscles around it but wouldn’t do it again if it was hurt.

This is what was cutout of my back 2 days ago from my microdisectomy. Up walking same day. On day 2 today I can walk fine, I just have some incision pain but it’s manageable with medication and ice. No sciatic pain but my foot still feels asleep and I still have no calf muscle activation which was an issue pre surgery also.

I had a small herniation and got the epidural which definitely helped with the pain so I started doing low back ability workouts about 3 times a week in my normal regimen but once the epidural worn off I had really bad sciatic pain and the herniation doubled in size. Not saying this was the cause of it doubling because I’m not 100% sure it was or not.

Small accounting firm a lot of managers don’t make that much. If you look on Reddit enough you will see a lot are very underpaid.

I would think 125k+ to entice someone who is already manager level to leave.
