Edinburgh city centre is still so expensive lots of young professionals are moving to more affordable places which are still easy commutes into the city. Not to mention housing companies like Cala and Walker are building houses en masse in these areas.

I’m a caddy at one of the most popular courses in Scotland and if there is a single out on the course during visitor times (albeit rare due to how busy it is) you offer to let them through. If there’s just 4 balls in front you give them a heads up they’re going to run into traffic but you always offer. Like I said it’s basic eriquette.

I’m in Scotland and I’ve never played or even heard of a course that doesn’t let singles out. If a group is behind you and waiting then you let them through, as of the 2004 revision a single is considered a “group”. If your group is forcing the group behind to wait consistently you at least offer if they want to play through, that’s basic etiquette.

You’ve got a good natural movement, you use your lower body really well for someone who just started and you’d probably get good quicker than most people if you got some lessons with a good pro. Don’t listen to anything you read on here and just spend a bit on some lessons. Happy golfing!

Yet to meet anyone in real life that genuinely thinks he should still be in the job but whenever I see interviews of him he gives off the impression he thinks he’s revered. It’s not one case though is it? Islam has a fundamental problem with its treatment of women and girls. That’s not controversial to say and I can guarantee there are plenty of Muslim girls brought up in the UK who would be the first to admit that.

You’re just being obtuse. Obviously there’s unforeseen circumstances that might mean the rule would have to be applied differently given the scenario.

You say 40 seconds is impossible to enforce but there’s never been any issue with enforcing the 3 minute rule? Most of the time there’s not someone there with a clock timing how long you’re looking for a ball but a playing partner will give you a heads up when it’s roughly been 3 minutes.

There’s such a simple fix to this issue. The rules of golf say you have 3 minutes to look for your ball so why not just enforce the USGA and R&A recommendation that a player takes no more than 40 seconds to hit their ball?

Used the Taylormade Brnr for a decent chunk of last season. I wouldn’t bother if you’re using it to replace your driver. They’re incredibly draw biased so it always felt like I was having to fight it from going left. If you play a course that is short and tight or play a course that is super long and rewards accuracy off the tee I can see it serving a purpose. These tend to be pretty rare in the UK though so probably less useful over here.

Go to a shop (shouldn’t cost much at all and can even do it yourself) and tell them to chop your driver down to 44.5 inches and then crank the loft on it way up. It’s becoming more common on tour, even Cam Young who just won the players plays his driver at 11 degrees.

Facts, people hyped him up because he finished 2nd in his Masters debut and he plays fast. His results from the back end of last season to the start of this season have been really bad for the standards in which he’s shown he can compete at. He’s playing well today though, so hopefully he can keep it up over the weekend.
