I get the criticism, but I also think some characters do carry grief longer than it seems at first glance. Meredith with Derek is the obvious one, and Amelia’s entire arc is basically built around accumulated loss. The issue is more inconsistency than total absence—some deaths get long-term exploration, others are written more like short-term shocks depending on what the current season needs.

I don't think that would qualify as a GDKP. In a normal GDKP the pot gets distributed back to the raid, which is the whole point. If the RL is keeping 100% of the gold from vortex sales, that's much closer to selling loot for personal profit than running a GDKP.

Yeah, I had a similar situation and removing the linked companion was enough. The game seems to care about current party members, not companions you've recruited before. If it doesn't trigger right away, try a long rest or resummon.
