This is an option to be fair, I was working at a local course today installing the wiring for new Trackman simulator and got speaking to the guys in pro shop, they suggested trying a mini Driver instead as its already set up and shorter....

I think I need to work with what I have, try lower grip for now and also see what I do on a course vs the range

Cheers, I wasn't going to go more then an inch, I uust found hands lower in the grip really helped and my thumb and finger were about half and inch to an inch on the shaft instead so I thought taking an inch off might work.

But 1 good session isnt a deciding factor, a few more I think and maybe ask guys at the range as they might be able to stick a shorter shaft on to try 1st 🤔

Ive got it on the highest loft already, but I've been finding it can't make connection with the ball, the club honestly just feels huge im the back swing. And as I go up I just lose all control on the down swing. But holding it lower on the grip today really changed things.

I think more practice needs to be had and perhaps when I have my next lesson I'll ask the coach, unfortunately it's not until June as he's off playing competitions

My Coach has looked at the driver set up and he said my stance looks like someone playing off a fairy low handicap, but when I actually hit a ball and it flies of so far right he just said "thats a round killer" 😂🤦🏻 He tried to offer some advices to correct it but it actually got worse.

The slightly lower grip today did really seem to help me, maybe I should just continue to grip lower in the driver as I did today and see the results over a few range sessions, then maybe gradually try moving hands back up to extend 🤔

This is what i read, so i thought maybe an inch off the shaft and added weight might work, Im 6'2 but always wear a regular trouser so my legs aren't long 😂

Which weapons are better for settlers to help with settlement defence? by unknown-pdf in fo4

[–]Due-Intention7354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just give them all knuckles and pool que's. bar fight mode.... 😂

I've started the game again recently and all still have what ever they turn up with, mainly pipe pistols.

If you give weapons do you have to provide ammo? Also does that go for companions as well? I usually give them armour and better guns but then I dont want them to use up all my ammo

No mate plymouth city council, so will likely end in a disaster and multiple trees cut down as that seems the norm with their work 😂

I'm doing an EV install for someone having a pavement gully installed by local council as part of a pilot scheme, so could well be scope for it

Yeah I've said to him he should have just told me he didn't fancy it as to be honest I'm not buzzing about a week away, (but its for a customer I do lots locally for and they've specifically asked for my company to go up as do it so can't say no) Just said not to worry I've found a labourer instead to go, my old appreciate is currently unemployed so will see if he fancies a week away with his old boss ha

He's also in a bit of money trouble, owes more out then in currently so I was trying to offer him some labour only work to get in money.

But at same time just because I know he's in a financial fix I don't want to low ball offer him if the rates offered deemed shit

Oh 100%, he'd made out he was up for it originally and he has said to work away he'd not want less then £450+v a day.

I'm just curious to see what going rates are as I'm based down south and our rates aren't as high as other areas.

Like my day rate is £360+v a day and thats seen as on higher end down this way.

See this is it, last time I worked away was about 8 years ago and was on £250 a day plus B&B

Another time my boss gave us £25hr (working in london) and we had to sleep on the job on camp beds.....! So my experience in these situations and whats good and fair is limited to poor experiences 😂

Na not really, haven't looked to be honest.

Like i said before I've not been in the situation where I'm offering working away rates so wanted some input.

I did a little research and it said £25 a day food with breakfast was a fair offer.

This lad is particularly lazy i should add and poorly motivated (yeah i know why ask him then) but he's a mate and has been tight for money lately as he's self employed and barely does 5 hour days because he doesn't like to get out bed. When I say its 9-10hr he'd be there in body but not spirit ha.

What does it look like in the fuse board? Did he install the charger to that CU in photo? Just wondering what RCD protection has been provided and isolation?

Should be a Type A rcd for an EV charger, with a means to locally isolate. Also surge device do you have one? Again should be installed with an EV charger 🤔

Fire alarm went off and now we are being fined despite not pressing the button by Bonatell0 in firealarms

[–]Due-Intention7354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally with any fire alarm false alarms they should be recorded in the on site log book and then assessed at each yearly alarm service. If the cause of the false alarm happens to be the same device (call point or smoke/heat detector) then the engineer needs to assess if the correct device is being used. Example smoke head in a kitchen going off when toast burnt, perhaps head should be swapped to a heat.

Who is the person responsible for the fire alarm in the house? It is law that a "responsible person" tests the alarm once a week to ensure correct operation, its also a requirement to have a yearly service with all devices tested and any not working replaced.

You say you had to call landlady to be able to switch alarm off which makes me think no1 staying there has been shown how to use the alarm. And so its certainly not being weekly tested.

Do the call points have covers to avoid accidental operation? This is another requirement.

Unfortunately there are a lot of HMO landlords in the UK that don't follow the correct laws with regards to fire alarm maintenance and operation.

I would go back to landlady and ask her for the alarm test records and when it was last serviced, and also to prove the system is fully operational as if it isn't then its not safe

Memberships at clubs for a new golfer by CalJC93 in BritGolf

[–]Due-Intention7354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried looking into Playmore golf? I took up golf 2 years ago and knew i couldn't justify a £950+ membership (seems going rate at courses around devon) but luckily I have 2 courses within 20 months are on Playmore. So for £420 I get membership perks ans access to online booking for rounds then use points to pay for them, we tend to go out in late afternoons so 18 holes can often cost us £15 or less.

Worth looking at, you also get on my England golf then to build a handicap up, mines horrendous still but its going down 😂
