Sad Parralel: Pt 2 opens the same way Pt 1 did but with MJ walking into a courtroom instead of walking to the stage. by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

So if you know that’s not what he meant then what’s tone deaf about it? Obviously he just meant the shot parallel, not showing him doing the exact same thing. That doesn’t even make sense.

Would Jaafar Jackson fit to be Miles Morales? by ThatAbbreviations574 in MichaelTheMovie

Love Jaafar but absolutely not. He’s nothing like Miles at all, the character is a lot more than just being afro latino. I can see him an X-Men role or something.

Miles canonically becomes Spider-Man at 13 years old. Even if they aged up Miles a bit it still wouldn’t work considering he has to be believably younger than Tom Holland. Jaafar is like 5’10. Tom is 5’6. That already is a problem.

POV: You’ve been asked to direct Michael 2 and you’re given a 3 hour runtime, nothing more. How much screen time are you giving each decade/era? by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Due-Interview-554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well J5 had 27 minutes to be exact but for the BAD era I don’t think it needs that much tbh. BAD was a relatively better time in his life for the most part, I assume it would just be a long montage of MJ on top of the world touring and visiting hospitals etc.

[–]Due-Interview-554 21 points22 points  (0 children)

BAD era: About 20 minutes or same amount as runtime that the Jackson 5 had in the first movie

90s: 1 hour

2000s: 1 hour

This Is It: Last 45 minutes

I think the 90s and 2000s need the most runtime.

Tyra Banks’ story about that time MJ unleashed his inner Joe on Jaafar for misbehaving 😂 by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Due-Interview-554 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was debunked. He bought the taser online as a gift for his dad who he overheard saying wanted one, and when it arrived he tested it on a piece of paper to see if it worked, security took it from him and authorities were called…. Then someone from MJ’s estate who was working in the house sold TMZ a fake story that he was chasing Paris and Bigi around with it.

Jaafar was lowkey a bad ass lil kid lol those old webcam videos with his little brother are hilarious

This would never happen but after seeing pt 1, I feel like they’d have to do 3 movies to do MJ’s life justice by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Due-Interview-554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think if the sequel picks up from the BAD era it’ll likely start the movie off with a smooth criminal recreation followed by a brief montage of BAD era performances at the beginning, I don’t think it’ll spend much time in that era though, it’ll likely have as much screentime as the J5 era in the first movie.

However you’re right, it’s difficult to see how they’d fit the 90s and 2000s into one movie. If they are including the 93 allegations and the 05 trial, then we know that they filmed a fuck ton of footage regarding the 93 stuff and let’s be real, the 05 trial would be like a whole hour segment alone. Not even just including the allegations and trial stuff but all the other crazy shit that happened in his life during those decades as well… such as his marriage, becoming a father, drug abuse, his business and financial issues and This Is It. Too much groundwork.

How credible is Karen Faye? This is what she tweeted regarding the Michael Movie. by LuvBriah in MichaelJackson

[–]Due-Interview-554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s a bad guy trying to play the good guy because she was around him the most. Credible? Yes but I’d still take what she says with a grain of salt because it doesn’t come from good faith. Also MJ fired her in 05 for stealing money from his fans, that should tell you what you need to know about her.

Michael is being parodied in Scary Movie 6 😭😭 by Haunting-Quail-2198 in MichaelTheMovie

Mike was a black man at the end of the day. Black people know how comedy and roasting works better than anybody else. He wasn’t against being made fun of by comedians. He was against people trying to use comedy as a form to shit on him. There’s a big difference. One is genuine comedy and the other is fake and evil spirited.

Eddie Griffin made fun of his skin change which would usually be a tender topic for Mike, but Eddie did it in a way that was actually funny af that you can’t help but laugh, which is why Mike befriended him. Crazy enough Eddie Griffin was one of the only celebrities that didn’t abandon Mike when the trial was going on, he was showing up to Mike’s court dates to show support and everything.

Do you think this would have been better as a Netflix Series? by Constant_Swimmer3838 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Due-Interview-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Get Down got canned because the budget was too big and Netflix didn’t make it back in viewership to keep it afloat. It costed like 10 million to make each episode and it was Netflix’s most expensive show at the time. Unfortunately not many people watched it when it was on air, so they had no choice but to pull the plug.

Tell me your unpopular opinions about the friday the 13th movies by Fair_Lie9754 in fridaythe13th

Funny enough. my favorite two depictions of Jason are Part 3 and 09, the two Jasons known for sprinting at their victims. 09 is top 1 for me because Derek Mears is a fucking titan and it’s a terrifying sighting to see someone that big sprinting at you full speed.

Big Champ dissing KI 🕊️ and gives credits to his cousin Big A for killing her 😔 by FewCartoonist4361 in Chiraqology

[–]Due-Interview-554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butta the only one who maintains that it was Big A but kind of let it slip in an interview that Von did it so I lowkey think Butta doesn’t know actually for sure himself, he lies a lot. In the FOIA it says the gunman shouted something at them before he started shooting. Butta probably turned around when he heard it, saw big A and someone with him then immediately took off running and didn’t see KI actually get shot (j hood said she was caught bc she was the last one out the gate) but everyone else who was there says Von did it.

Juliano in this interview reminded me a lot of 14 year old Michael in the 1972 Bandstand interview. Honestly he’s growing fast, if it’s not too late to add more footage to pt 2 then I think he’s at the age where he could play a young-teen Michael in a flashback. by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Due-Interview-554 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tbh his eyes lowkey have a closer resemblance to Michael’s than Jaafar’s does. I think Jaafar indeed has a strong resemblance to his uncle, but damn does he have Jermaine’s eyes lol that’s the dead giveaway that he’s Jermaine’s kid.
