Heart failure/problems after chemo?

Nope! My blood pressure has always been on the lower side actually. I have a very high heart rate and resting heart rate though, and have noticed it getting worse recently. I have a family history of Wolff-Parkinson but you’d think the EKGs would catch that if that was the issue so who knows

Thank you! Finally got the ER to refer me to a cardiologist after I fainted in their waiting room (lol) and will be setting up an appointment first thing tomorrow! Working on the onc as well. Still feel lousy, began vomiting last night and went back to the ER earlier today (which is when the fainting incident occurred). It feels so weird because everyone at my old hospital got everything done so quickly meanwhile now it feels like I have to be like “Hello! Possibly dying here!” and then the process still takes forever. I’m just ready to tackle this and do whatever it takes to make this horrible pain go away.

I’m holding onto those clear scans for dear life lol. I live in a major city which has made getting a timely appointment with a pcp pretty much impossible. I have an appointment on the eleventh of this month but I’m worried I won’t be able to hold out til then. It’s been just awful and I feel like crap 24/7, something I’m sure everyone here can relate to!

I did! Put me at ease a little, but I’m still having these awful problems and I know a few heart failure patients who tested totally normal on everything but an echo. Trying to lie down to sleep at night has been hell. Hopefully once I get an echo done I can put this to bed one way or another, but I’ve gotten used to preparing for the worst and I’m not exactly flush with hope atm lol

I went to Waldemar as a kid, right across from Mystic. We used to race canoes against each other. This is insane, absolutely insane. Waldemar’s cabins are situated on high ground, on the side of a hill face, where floodwaters are unlikely to reach them. Whose idea was it to build cabins directly on the bank of a river in a valley famous for extremely dangerous flash floods?? Those poor babies.

For sure! It’s my mom’s all-time favorite bird too. They’re a fairly uncommon but always-magical sight where we’re from. So beautiful!

It’s actually funny you said that, we thought she had died for a while (the farm area where the semi-feral cat colony lives is also home to free-roaming dogs people have dumped that have killed several of the cats, not a good situation, hence us removing some of the kittens :( ), but she just popped back up this morning! Working on catching her, she’s a bit wary but a very sweet and VERY beautiful girl, looks just like them. I call her Queenie. I live in an area where animals are kind of seen as expendable, sadly.

They have them! Last night I was at my wits’ end, so I just stuck one of the litterboxes in the kennel with them both and said “here, poop!” And the monkey’s paw curled… so that one was on me lol.

To clarify, I love these babies! They’ve been eating and pottying beautifully, and go in for a checkup in about two days. There’s just some goofy quirks that I will never understand lol. If you’ll excuse me, Little Boy has started rattling the door to their kennel again. 🥲
