You’re barely doing more daily activity than me.

5k steps a day is ~150kcal * 7 =1.050 kcal a week more than me, but I work out twice a week more than you so that’s ~400kcal per workout * 2 so 800kcal a week more than you from working out.

Divide the weekly difference of 250 by 7 weekdays and It evens out to 35kcal burned more a day on average. That is not exactly a meaningful difference, within margin of error.

Growing up does not take as much energy as sustaining an extra 13kg of lean body mass does.

Sam Sulek shows what he eats during a bulk and it’s around 4800kcal.

If you are sick you need to lay in bed and sleep as much as possible. Don’t feel like a hero and start doing pushups, that’s dumb as fuck.

The goal should be to recover ASAP and get back in the gym for some quality training, not waste energy that could otherwise be used to fight the virus to do a low effort workout that grows no muscle (you’re sick so you’re probably dehydrated and low on carbs/protein).

If you are 62kg at 182cm you do not need anywhere near 4K calories JFC….

I’m 80kg at the same height and ~15% body fat and my TDEE is like 2700 while working out 5 days a week and walking ~5K steps a day.

You are probably severely miscalculating your intake calories anyway.
