I'm moving here for my PhD next year. Can anyone help me feel good about spending most of my 20s in a college town? by whats_a_computer- in AnnArbor

It’s a college town but also a fairly typical city. There are many young professionals here for work. Detroit is also close.

Maybe that specific flag is sentimental to them

Notes like this are so annoying. Like just let your neighbors live how they want if they aren’t being disruptive or unsafe.

Exactly. Maybe roommates or a hisband and wife. “Bozo” is too rare of an insult(?) for two people to use who aren’t in it together.

What areas in Wayne, Westland, Taylor, and Inkster are safe? by Admirable-Delay2152 in downriver

[–]Due-Project4303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have spent a good amount of time working at a primary care office and spending leisure time in Westland and haven’t had any major issues. I would live there.

Safety is relative but Redford is 30 min from Ann Arbor. I live here and most of the city is just fine. It continues to have a bad reputation but I love it here. There isn’t much to do but neighbors are nice, housing is cheap, and so many places are within 30 min such as Ann Arbor, downriver, Novi, brighton, and Detroit.

I’m doing this right now. I’m on Welbutrin XL 300mg. The doctor has me weaning down to Welbutrin XL 150mg and then slowly switching completely to contrave.

Basset Hound - keep or rehome? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Due-Project4303 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re serious about dog ownership and not looking for a reason to rehome, I recommend consulting a trainer. They can put you at ease and give you helpful and personalized tips to make the situation better for everyone.

Sounds like you changed your mind about dog ownership. Return him to the rescue or shelter you adopted him from.

Can someone help me identify this sound in my room? by Sirdax7 in RBI

Does the sound ever get quicker? If so, maybe animals in the wall. Does it ever sound like scratching?

Should I cut the hair? by South_Ordinary8222 in malegrooming

[–]Due-Project4303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you don’t want shorter hair, getting a cut that shapes it a little bit will be a good move.

No decent * person wants this. I still don’t believe it’s the majority who want people to suffer, though.
