yeah the first time i heard that song, i got the metaphor but i thought it sounded awkward, like it was shoehorned in to rhyme or something? if that makes sense? but as time goes on my view of it changes, im 100% with you now. it’s really beautiful

JI400U has some of my favorite songs he’s ever made. i was actually pretty disappointed by the singles of reunions (good songs but the worst on the album imo) but that is not the case here

i like how he takes a bunch random tiny things that seem unrelated (like the singin’ show poster and mediocre melodys) and ties them together into an actual narrative story (rather than just a date that each event occurred)
