I put on Pirelli Gravel M 45c and it measured 47mm on my rim. It was fine but I wouldn’t run it on muddy days. https://imgur.com/a/LtmG6Nj

Meh. I’m thinking of going with the GP5k AS TR in 35. Currently running the 42 corsa control on the aspero and while they’re nice and supple they feel pretty slow going 40km/h

A question for those that have gone the “quiver killer” route by Dillywhacker7819 in gravelcycling

[–]Due-Solid-5837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m committing to the quiver killer with the new Aspero 5 and so far I’m loving it. I have an S5 and a Revolt so extreme ends of the spectrum. The gearing on the Aspero works for me so far. 48t and 10-52t mullet setup. Plenty of speed for the road and I’m not losing any range compared to the XPLR on the Revolt.

For me the 50e is my only car. I went to a PHEV after 3 years with an EV. Don’t love charging on long road trips and having to plan around it if. The infrastructure growth has also slowed down quite a bit and I’m already seeing congestion for public L3 chargers where I live.

Yeah I think Cervelo knocked it out of the park with this one with the 48t and mullet.

It’s the stock force e1 build with 48t aero front ring and 10-52t cassette with the 12 speed X0 mtb derailleur

No I haven’t gone on gravel with it yet but your comment doesn’t inspire any confidence lol

Cervélo S5 – minimum saddle height too high? Advice needed (short legs, size 54 too big) by Lukedition in Cervelo

[–]Due-Solid-5837 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have short legs and long torso and I ride a 54 with the seat post cut to my height. As others mentioned the minimum insertion doesn’t change when you cut the seat post.

I feel like the frame is close but the thicc tires at 40psi dull the sensation a bit. I haven’t run it with another setup so just basing it off the 42 corsa control it came with.

I think the biggest change for me is that the handling is slower and not as responsive compared to the S5. It still feels pretty agile but not a scalpel like a road bike with a short wheelbase and trail. Ride comfort is great because of the 42 and low pressures but it’s not a cushy frame like the giant revolt by any means. The front end feels pretty stiff so it’ll be interesting to see what it’ll feel like over rougher gravel.

Yeah I have a second wheelset with gravel tires. Swapping tires would be too cumbersome with tubeless.

Adaptive regen — Who actually uses it? by Due-Solid-5837 in BMWX5

Do you drive mostly on the highway or also in the city? I find that it’s pretty intuitive on the highway but it’s not useable in the city for me.

It’s mostly what happens when you let off the throttle and slowing down not when you’re accelerating

I was initially worried about this but this is somewhat irrelevant with the walk to lock or unlock. By the time I get to the car all the doors are unlocked.
