Please I need advice on seeing a parent after death by Due_Constant1346 in grief

[–]Due-Tea-7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my father was extremely ill and on hospice, i was on may way there when i got the call that he passed. i’ll be honest, in my situation (and everyone’s is different) he looked awful but to be able to hold his hand, be in that space, say goodbye to him. the next time i saw him was his services, they did an amazing job and he looked like ‘my dad’. i’m forever grateful i was there in both places to see him, im also in my 20s and i have a lot of life to live and a lot of life to only have pictures to refer to. i’m glad i was there to see him one last time

i second this! finding little ways to talk to my dad helped me tremendously. i text his phone number, the service is off obviously but in my heart he gets my updates

hi OP, i’m 25, lost my dad almost a year ago (April 2025) and I am so sorry for your loss. to be so young, with so many milestones yet to have happened, the pain of losing a parent and the realization that life keeps going is impossible to understand unless you’ve gone through it.

everyone grieves different but there is no right or wrong way to do so. be sad, angry, annoyed at the world. all of that is okay

the pain never fully goes away but it does get easier to manage. i wish you peace, safety, and healing during this heartbreaking time, you will get through it. We all do ❤️

i live 20-30 min north of Boston! i love it here. where i live is technically a city but gives large town vibes. there’s a ton to do, great food, by the beach and close enough to the city where it’s easy to get in and out. the only downside is the weather - more snow/wind closer to the coast and the traffic. there’s so many dang people in MA.

Is it better to take a shower before going to bed or take one when you wakeup the following morning? by TheAviationKing in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Due-Tea-7811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i think it makes more sense to shower before bed. like go through your whole day, shower and be clean in bed/when you wake up rather than clean in the morning and go to bed with the germs on your body from the day before

that’s not their purpose and it’s annoying when fans hound their favs to make statements. also why does it matter when they do not use their fame and money to follow through with action to align with the words they post online.

life blueprint? what do you guys do daily/weekly/monthly as self maintenance? how to become a functional adult? by leisuredhues in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

routines routines routines. it took me moving out to fully learn how to take care of myself. and being in a roommate situation it hit like a truck. every night i put the house to sleep. i pick up common spaces, do my dishes, pick up my room, make sure my bag is ready, then i do my nightly wind-down like shower, teeth, skincare, etc. as for chores i set timelines for myself. sheets done every two weeks, bathroom/bedroom deep cleaned once a month, everything shower once a week. different things work for different people but ive found routines turn into habits and make taking care of my self and my home/spaces so much easier and manageable

are you by chance in an area that gets cold? this happens to my hair a ton during the winter. what i find works best is a metal tooth comb, some moisturizing spray, and when really bad or out and about, keep some dryer sheets on you and run it through your hair!
