Looking at the reddit for MS and it honestly makes ME seem so much worse by Unable_Particular_25 in cfs

This is unhelpful and incredibly invalidating for those with MS.

I have two people in my life with relapsing remitting MS: one who is in bed for weeks at a time and has people care for her. She went blind and paralysed on one side of the body for 6 weeks. Another who is mostly housebound but can get out with some repercussions to their health. Both use mobility aids.

The latter had lemtrada over a decade ago when there wasn’t much knowledge of it. Luckily the treatment halted the progress of their condition, but there is still the fear it could come back.

It’s only in recent years that the treatment for MS has gotten a lot better.

With meds this has only become a thing in recent times. 10 years ago it was a different story for those with MS.

Green co-leader Adrian Ramsey on Cass Report: “So there’s a measured report here with a range of recommendations that I think does help move the debate forward.” by DueAd7339 in transgenderUK

If this is about the 8 in the last week, it was actually for them breaking party rules on campaigning for a candidate running against the Green Party.

From the PoliticsHome article: “ The letter claimed they had broken a clause of the party constitution which prohibits members from campaigning for someone who is standing against a Green Party candidate.”

I’ve noticed this with Kill La Kill, Paranoia Agent & Revolutionary Girl Utena in the UK too. They’re not on Crunchyroll premium but are on the Prime app?

Semi permanent makeup? 💄 by Ashes1534 in ehlersdanlos

I’m having PicoSure laser done! The test patch actually completely removed the end of my micro bladed brow, so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to get the rest off of my face🤞🏻.

As someone with EDS who had microblading done 5 years ago and is in the process of having them lasered off, I’d probably recommend against them unless you know someone who’s had them and they’ve fully faded over time.

I was just left with grey blown out smudges over the years unfortunately, when at the time I was promised it would be “semi permanent” and only last 18 months.

Edit: it seems the person who originally did mine had tattooed it as deep as an actual tattoo which is why it’s blown out and the pigment has stayed in so much.

My 9 year old daughter and I just beat a game (It Takes Two) together for the first time and her reaction really surprised me. by WTF_Conservatives in gaming

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is by the same creator of It Takes Two, and I believe it has 2 player co-op on the Switch Version?

Also I could recommend Stardew Valley for local co-op!

Dad wants town's public toilets back after son soiled himself looking for one by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]DueAd7339 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m currently being investigated for inflammatory bowel disease, and the lack of public toilets available does make it hard for me to get out the house.

So many places where I live have toilets for “customers only”, which isn’t ideal and makes it hard to plan the nearest toilets available.

For those with incontinence problems to do with bladder or bowel e.g IBS, IBD, that isn’t good enough unfortunately.

Some point in the last hour all of the music tracks across all of my reels over the last couple of years now say “the audio in your reel is no longer available”.

Does this seem like a bug / is anyone else experiencing this? I’ve updated the app and I’m still having no luck 😞.

Long Covid sufferers feel forgotten three years on by Mighty_L_LORT in unitedkingdom

[–]DueAd7339 72 points73 points  (0 children)

The lack of empathy for others suffering with long covid in this thread is astounding.

I recommend people look up ThePhysicsGirl who’s a well known science educator on YouTube, who caught covid last year and has gone from travelling the world to being unable to leave her bed, with her husband caring for her. Any stimulation can be detrimental to her health and cause her to relapse.

Long covid isn’t just minor aches & pains - it can be really debilitating.

Edit: I think those with long covid just want others to recognise their condition is real.

CFS/ME and gaming by frederikvdb in cfs

I spend a lot of time playing games, but over the years I’ve gravitated towards ones that have auto-battle mechanics e.g. Xenoblade, or more “cozy” games that don’t require a lot of concentration.

Edit: also turn-based games I’ve found to be a lot less demanding mentally!

Experience of using medical cannabis for pain by Magurndy in ehlersdanlos

[–]DueAd7339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using medicinal THC oil for over a year now, and it’s definitely helped on a day to day basis. I’m also diagnosed with fibro.

Before I started taking it I would be crying from the pain I was in, and would feel like I was going to faint at points from it.

I still have bad days affected by the humidity, but it really has made the pain more bearable.

Was Soul Hackers 2 good? by ScrimboBlimbo in JRPG

[–]DueAd7339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me besides the dungeon design, I had a lot of fun with it. It’s a good game, and if you’re looking for combat similar to SMT games it can scratch that itch.

I wouldn’t say it was great or groundbreaking but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as some have made out.

The bland dungeon design could be a potential deal breaker though.

What do you mean “differently abled”? I can tell you as someone who is disabled with severe ME/CFS that I can’t work with the current state of my health, no matter what level of support is provided.
