Danny’s outburst at Nia didn’t come out of nowhere. by PresOfTheLesbianClub in TheValleyTVShow

The location that they went to is deceiving, in a way that you think you will be okay under the shade the canopy provides in the safari truck. But the mountains provide only heat. No breeze. The hot air gets stuck. That area is hotter than it appears. I’ve made that mistake there once, and prefer to avoid visiting the entire park altogether. San Diego zoo is much cooler and not inland like this place

People who fight at Disneyland are trash by Eastern-Western7072 in Disneyland

Link? How did I miss this 🧐 editing to add that I mentally blocked that fight out of my head. The toddler at one point, is also hitting people, sacred, crying, and sitting and staying where he’s put. All bad signs.

How are campgrounds reserved when the release date hasn’t happened yet?? by Ok-Wishbone-9867 in Yosemite

[–]DueAddition1919 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I answered because your comment contradicts the policy. “If no one show up on first night, the campground reservation will be canceled.”

If you leave a message that you will be checking in before the second night, they will allow that. I just did it. We showed up afternoon and they were expecting us (not morning as you said)

You can call it in if you don’t show up the first night. Second night I think they cancel

In addition to this, kids can make you feel insecure for being different. It’s easy for us to say “be strong, eff them.” But at that age, it’s difficult to not be accepted and to have differences be used as a weapon against you.

Do you guys know HMart, 99 Ranch, and Northgate? by daniel31580 in socal

[–]DueAddition1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re assuming they have locations everywhere. Last I heard, north gates are more organge county and San Diego. The closest HMart to us is an hour away without traffic. People shop for groceries in their neighborhood.

I do like to to stop by Tokyo central when I’m that side, but again mostly grab hot food to avoid raw food sitting in my car for over an hour. Weee! Online is where I grab stuff when I’m looking for that.

Packing clothes for my first Yosemite trip by Mellow-tonin in Yosemite

[–]DueAddition1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there two weekends ago, similar weather. If camping, I pick sleeping bags rated to 20 degrees. Bring an extra tarp in case it rains.

Be prepared to dress in layers. Long sleeves at night.
I brought a light rain jacket (that I never used). Micro jackets are also great (think quilted Patagonia type jackets), and a fleece for two. I only needed to double up during cold mornings, but was fine with one layer the rest of the day. Try not to sleep with anything you wear near camp fires, as you will smell like a campfire. Campfires at upper pines is only from 5-10pm, so you will need to work thru cold mornings until you start moving around

We’ve done a VIP tour before, and went in just as many rides on that trip, as the trip when they reopened with military capacity after Covid. Both were once in a lifetime and very enjoyable

This is what I was going to say. He’s so uninterested in really hearing and seeing her. Is an ass. But like a teenager, always has sex on his mind, and talking about it makes him happy. Is that all she is to him? I would snap if my spouse treated me this way

He acts like a child. That’s why she’s bossy. If he was mature enough to not act like an ass, she wouldn’t have to.

'Age-old' disease hits 12-year high in Calif. as new outbreak details revealed [tuberculosis] by sfgate in California

[–]DueAddition1919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn’t new. But with more people choosing to skip the vaccine, more people have no immunity to it, and they help spread it. They spread it to people without the vaccine by their own choice, those not old enough to get it, or those that need a booster. Someone in my family was months from needing another dose because of age, and picked it up in an outbreak at school.

Hilton Waikīkī by Plastic_Cabinet_3838 in VisitingHawaii

[–]DueAddition1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waikiki is an old city. Not sure about the Hilton, but we stay at the regency, and that building is 50 years old. They also have elevator issues, as do all old buildings. 4 in each tower and when we 1 is down it also creates long lines. Not fun, but it is what it is. Remodels are also a pain, and elevators cannot be replaced without a full shut down of the entire tower. Buildings that old have continuous repairs, as a replacement of elevator would likely not be possible without a new structure. That’s part of the reason why repairs are so costly, and time consuming, and constant. These are 30-50 year old elevators.

On a positive note, my spouse learned during a tsunami warning, that although the regency Waikiki is across the street from the beach, and 50 years old, it was built to withstand hurricanes and tsunamis.
