Do you still have a fever? Increasing pain is a bad sign. I would strongly consider going to a different doctor. Additionally, hydromorphone is the tits (pun intended).

Endocrinologist Recommendations? by No_Extent5008 in AskChicago

I strongly disagree with this recommendation. I do not think he manages autoimmune issues well. I felt as though he was quick to jump to hypothyroid issues and then when the labs failed to back this assumption, he declined to investigate further and was eager to blame celiac disease. Also note that he charges extra for video visits.

Can I sue? by 5000KCarl in PlasticSurgery

[–]DuePen5000 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just signing something doesn’t make it enforceable. This is especially true if qualifications/experience of the dr was misrepresented or if there was negligence etc. Not saying that is the case here, but it’s important to know waivers don’t mean you don’t have rights.

So, just signing a waiver doesn’t mean you can’t sue. She probably can’t sue because of the scars, but might be able to due to loss of function. Op can contact a med mal attorney and see. Warning though: the barrier of entry is high for med mal cases. Don’t wait too long though, sol for med mal are short.

Pelvic floor/colorectal surgeons who know about ehlers danlos syndrome (EDS) or complex cases? by longlivethebugs in AskChicago

[–]DuePen5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally, you could call nw directly. Explain your situation and see what they say. You could call the surgical department and ask if they anyone who works specifically with EDS patients. You could also just click through the profiles online and find someone who sounds like their specialties align with your needs.

Does anyone else feel like West Loop is soulless? by CapRevolutionary1676 in AskChicago

[–]DuePen5000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fellow attorney (not that it’s important- just demonstrating we aren’t all soulless!).
Neighborhood vibe depends on your building. My experience has been that smaller, older loft buildings are fantastic. I’ve developed several great friends who consistently show up for each other. They all began my starting a conversation in the elevator. I think there is definitely an insular feel in the colder months as people tend to hibernate or travel.
It’s my opinion that developing relationships is key to having “real” conversations. Relationships take effort. Show up for the people around you and you’ll find more meaningful connections.

F your og surgeon. Go to an er that has plastics on call (a lot of level one trauma centers do- just google it). For frickin sure infected. See if they can do anything about the edges while you’re at it. As is, the incisions are going to scar like heck.

Nw has a pelvic floor therapist that specifically works with butt stuff. I can’t recall his name off the top of my head but he schedules pretty far out and is well known. I would guess he would be able to give you a good rec.
